Campus Police and KPD plans to silence Neyland Rowdys

Get drunk or get high, hold your stuff together. Why would Neyland be any different than any other public place. U get drunk at a bar and get out of line, you could go to jail. I've been on the wrong side of this and had a friend to look out for me and talk sense to me, and get me home without being arrested, the police were there and was about to take me downtown for public drunk, but like I said I had a friend to say they would get me home and I wouldn't cause no more trouble for nobody. Once again if you can't HOLD IT TOGETHER, at least have someone looking out for you. Come on why get so drunk you can't even remember the game, and as for being vulgar and all that cussing, show some class you sorry piece of ear wax (I apologize for my strong language), the worst cussing my dad ever got was at Auburn by a drunk lady, I laughed he didn't until I told him that she was drunk and confused.
GO VOLS! WIN em ALL!

Why isn't calling over a friend or someone sitting with them (assuming they are in a group and not solo) a better option than calling the cops and having someone thrown in jail?

Yeah I def can't imagine a weaker/softer country than ours. Proud to be here but year after year we turn more and more into politically correct *******. Now we're going to start ruining sporting events too. Smfh

What is ruining sporting events is stupid people, it has nothing to do with being politically correct. If you want to get hammered and cuss stay home and cuss your tv or dog. It's called inmaturity and I've seen it a bunch. I did the same thing when I was 18, 19' 25, what I'm talking about is grown men and women who don't know how to handle responsible drinking. I hate it for those people who have to leave or sit and hold their kids ears because of the idiots before mentioned.

While this sounds like a logical idea, it is really just another excuse to give these bullies more power to stroke their giant egos. The KPD LOVES harassing the UT students and alumni that they are so jealous of.

Have a good time and drink if you do, tailgate and party. Just don't fight cause a fight or act so obnoxious at the game you draw attention. If your a unruly and dumb drunk you need to be gone. Having said that some of Knoxville's police need to quit acting like we have a unruly fan base, they need to chill a little theirselves and we don't need no rush the field warning from the paper nor do most of us need a lesson in edicate. WE WILL BE LOUD AND WE WILL CHEER and SOME WILL HAVE A BEVARAGE or 3 but most will behave just fine, there is no reason to sound like you are on a big crack down KPD. GO BIG ORANGE!!!

I think the Campus Police and KPD should stop all suspicious individuals to interrogate, frisk and break out the "elbow glove!" on them. Suspicious individuals will undoubtedly be wearing red athletic clothing and paraphernalia.

I've attended games since the '60's. Don't the cops make this same pre-season announcement every year? Sure, there are a few ********* who must be collared, but if there is a pervasive problem with drunks I've not seen it.

KPD and Campus Police plan to haul away loud and rowdy drunks at the game. thus reducing the rowdy raunchy atmosphere that neyland used to be known for.

this is extremely sad times. as society turns to fascist.

There is a difference in loud and rowdy and drunk and rowdy. They need to kick out the drunk and rowdy. Keep the loud and rowdy and that will be okay.

As a cop who used to work college games in AR, I suspect I know what KPD officers would say: "You have to really try to get arrested at a game." I've made one arrest in all the games I've worked, and it was a drunk cussing, smoking and flicking cigarette butts at other fans. He got one warning, which did not correct his actions, so he went to jail. Those officers, if like we were, are working their day off to pick up a little extra money. They want to do as little police work as possible.

IMO, people should be permitted to go to the games as drunk and rowdy as they please so long as they are seated/standing in their assigned seats, and aren't throwing up or trying to start fights.

I've been in that stadium drunk as a skunk and I've been in that stadium higher than hell. Don't act like an idiot around the gates and you're good. Bottom line: you act messed up around the cops, they have every right to make an example out of you.
High as hell......roll one for me brother....pink floyd rocks...

Yeah they casted a pretty wide net when they said "Anyone coming into the stadium under the influence of alcohol can be ejected or arrested." Just another excuse and opportunity for them to impose there will and extort money out of people in order to generate revenue for the city. Sadly this is there main priority these days. Highly doubt they are concerned about other people's game experience. Hopefully this won't be the case. That being said, I'm all for anyone who is acting a complete a** and being unruly to be escorted out of the game.

Brats and rats have no place in Neyland Stadium.
If you want to get drunk and raise hell, go out in a corn field and have at it.

Yep at $300 a ticket, people should be able to do damn well whatever they please even if they're being ignorant and obnoxious...unless they're causing physical harm of course. And to people that want to protect their children's ears, have fun with your kids when they're in college bc kids like this go wild since they've been sheltered their entire lives.

You really have no clue what you're talking about.

That's the most ridiculous thing posted in this thread (and that's saying something)

That whole post is simply an ignorant mess.
