Butch is gonna give Adoree Jackson one of Cuonzo's basketball scholarships. Had to make some room.

They were talking about Cameron Justice on SportTalk, apparently Kentucky wants him to walk on.

I can tell you, that's not happening. No way he walks on anywhere.
And he respects CCM, likes him as a coach and as a person. As far as him de-committing, kid is making sure he is 100%. Wants a Duke offer but doesn't seem likely at all but he is hearing from them occasionally. If not Duke, then it's Tennessee.

He seems very interested in Vandy.

Of course he is going to listen to other programs. But as far as it goes. Duke is #1, and Tennessee is #2. He likes a Tennessee a lot. Just isn't really pleased with our offensive scheme lately to say the least lol. Likes CCM and the staff. I still believe unless something major occurs he will be a Vol.

I was referring to some of the quotes his father made, but who knows.

Good news, thanks.

Exactly, who knows lol. He is still a kid. Depends on which side of the bed they wake up on lol. Just relaying what has been told to me.

BTO, how do you think his game relates to our offense?

Martin hasn't head a knock down shooter like Justice, so it's hard to compare what out current offense looks like IMO. I know at Missouri State he adjusted to some shooters he had, and they were dangerous.

I think he would adjust the current offense you see to fit justice into the mix, and create looks for him, but that's jmo.

Might just want to make sure CCM is securely here in 2015. A raise and extension after this year gets him off the hot seat and keeps the future recruits feeling better about the program.

Also, the hotter he gets, the more coaches that keep knocking on his door. That's what happens when you get on a recruit early and then he blows up....ala Selby.

a raise and extension...for a guy who can't coach middle school? very strange post.

Problem here is there's been improvement every year that he's been here. If he makes the tournament that's another improvement over the previous year. Would that be enough to justify an extension if Hart thinks the program is moving forward? idk. Do I want CCM as the coach of this team long term? nope, I don't think he can get it done.

Extending a coach's contract makes it easier to recruit because there's somewhat of a guarantee that he will be there during a players career. Otherwise it will be used negatively against you in recruiting.

I don't know player, our A&M second half, UTEP & Vandy game tape is probably negative recruitment enough. :)

Caban discovered he was white and demanded CCM drop the token white kid?

problem here is there has been no improvement. however if you are happy at 15-12 with an nit bid every year then by all means keep the guy. my gut is with butch getting vol football back to the top nobody is gonna care. martin becomes the "token" coach some schools feel they must have and the athletic department can drag those curtains out of storage to hide the empty seats; unless they have already done that. not being critical but that is what basketball is facing now. it just makes me sick seeing him on the sidelines and listening to his post game interviews is like fingernails on a chalk board.

He has literally not finished with 15 wins any year and has improved every single year. He overachieved his first two years and is on pace for what reasonable people and experts expected this year. A NCAA berth.

You signed up to troll Martin. You aren't a real UT fan. You just want to bash Martin.

Whats up with calling people "boy"? And calling Martin a "token" hire. This isn't 1952.

CCM overachieved last year?

I'm as confused as you on this tho.

Well, we finished where projected with Maymon and he didn't play the whole year. So kinda. I guess it depends on your perspective. I definitely don't think he failed horribly like some make it seem.

Scout's Evan Daniels says CCM called and told Camron Justice that they aren't going to pursue him anymore!? Anybody have a sub to give CCM's reason why? Tennessee has put a lot of time and resources recruiting him.

Per Evan Daniels at Scout, TN has told Justice they are "done with him." Sounds a bit harsh, but that was a quote from Justice.
