A smart AD would fire him tonight since it's in his new contract.
Start instant damage control by making a good offer to the girl before she sues them and makes a much bigger PR mess that could linger for a year or longer.
Get both of them off the payroll and off the campus and paid to settle and hope nothing else comes up from this.
VFL...GBO!!!
obviously not a possibility, but LOL at thinking Dooley wouldnt take this kid back in a split second. when you are converting your fullback into a linebacker, your situation is far from optimal.
Because of their current position to contend for the SEC, he probably won't get fired but its not looking good at the moment
Sorry to go OT from the political debate, but anybody else realize that Petrino was 13-12 in his first two seasons at Arkansas and has gone 21-5 since?
I realize it's not an apples to apples comparison because he was so successful at Louisville, but it's something worth keeping in mind for those of us looking for some hope that Dooley might still be successful here.
Petrino also has one of the most brilliant offensive minds in the game right now. He is known for his high powered offenses. Dooley isn't known for anything, really.
He is screwed if That was his only reason for signing with them. Who knows, he might have liked it there more, who knows.
no. just like when Kiffin left, we had recruits that wanted out of signing but Hamilton wouldn't let them. it was just from the group who were enrolling early sicne no one else was signed at that point. But Hammy could have released all 8 of the early enrollees.
Peters is tied to Arkansas and they do not have to release him or any of their signees.

Anyone know the NCAA rules after Petrino gets fired? Players seem to transfer all the time when a coach screws up like this. The UCONN bball player right now who's prolly headed to UK comes to mind...
I had already pointed out the distinction between Dooley and Petrino but thanks for making it redundant.
Considering the similar situations the programs were in, and the way I qualified it, I think the sentiment is still valid.
