Can Otha Peters switch his LOI . . .

So she gets a big payday for being a cheating jezebel? That's a great idea.

A smart AD would fire him tonight since it's in his new contract.

Start instant damage control by making a good offer to the girl before she sues them and makes a much bigger PR mess that could linger for a year or longer.

Get both of them off the payroll and off the campus and paid to settle and hope nothing else comes up from this.

VFL...GBO!!!

obviously not a possibility, but LOL at thinking Dooley wouldnt take this kid back in a split second. when you are converting your fullback into a linebacker, your situation is far from optimal.

Al WIlson was a running back, I believe.

Because of their current position to contend for the SEC, he probably won't get fired but its not looking good at the moment

What people are missing is that this isn't about sex, it's about giving your mistress a nice cushy job.

He's busted.

And lol at Peters, btw...he's screwed now.

He is screwed if That was his only reason for signing with them. Who knows, he might have liked it there more, who knows.

Sorry to go OT from the political debate, but anybody else realize that Petrino was 13-12 in his first two seasons at Arkansas and has gone 21-5 since?

I realize it's not an apples to apples comparison because he was so successful at Louisville, but it's something worth keeping in mind for those of us looking for some hope that Dooley might still be successful here.

Petrino also has one of the most brilliant offensive minds in the game right now. He is known for his high powered offenses. Dooley isn't known for anything, really.

I think Dooley is known for being a coach that has enough sense not to hire young blonde girlfriends and ride them around on the back of a motorcycle.

If that scumbag doesn't get fired then I hope Arky doesn't win more than 4 games a year for the next 20 years.

Maybe we need to send Les Miles and Nick saTan a motorcycle with a hot chick in a bikini to deliver them, LOL.

According to all the hullabaloo, he was afraid that Dooley wouldn't last at Tennessee.

Of course, we all know how accurate the hullaballoo can be...

But if it's true...then lmao at Peters.

no. just like when Kiffin left, we had recruits that wanted out of signing but Hamilton wouldn't let them. it was just from the group who were enrolling early sicne no one else was signed at that point. But Hammy could have released all 8 of the early enrollees.

Peters is tied to Arkansas and they do not have to release him or any of their signees.

Is Peters already in class? If so, he would have to sit a year wouldn't he? The mid-terms that Spliffin had were enrolled and on campus. They were not eligible to be released was my understanding. Even though class started the day after Spliffin left, they were considered "in school".

Anyone know the NCAA rules after Petrino gets fired? Players seem to transfer all the time when a coach screws up like this. The UCONN bball player right now who's prolly headed to UK comes to mind...

I had already pointed out the distinction between Dooley and Petrino but thanks for making it redundant.

Considering the similar situations the programs were in, and the way I qualified it, I think the sentiment is still valid.

The NCAA will allow it to the school's discretion I think. I remember when Kiffin left and Dooley came in, there was a discussion as to whether the AD should allow them to change their LOI. Atleast I think this is the case, it may very well may be too far past the cut off date.

Trying to justify Dooley as being comparable to Petrino right now is asinine. It's like trying to compare the Pittsburg Steelers against a HS football team.

im assuming that none of this Petrino monkey business will involve any NCAA violations? its laughable that the NCAA will bust you for having a smoke machine but has no problem with you giving a job to your employees wife so you can poke her on the regular.
