First off, yes i know, the stain of the USCe loss will be a difficult one to overcome, but can the right chips fall into place to jump the Vols over Bama?

Utah, beating USC knocks them out. Keep in mind Florida beat Utah and we in turn beat Florida, Bama can't claim this.

Clemson beats UNC, propping up Clemson and in turn USCe, making our loss perhaps look somewhat less terrible.

UGA beats LSU which diminishes our win, yes, but makes Bama's loss look a little worse.

It's all minor things, and if TCU and USC win It's all moot anyway. Not to mention if the committee will even take this all into account, but it's interesting to think about. It's also great to be having playoff possibilities talk on championship weekend!!!

no - but you raise great points about how this BS is manipulate; by every metric possible, we win a tiebreaker with Bama (head to head, record vs common opponents, margin of victory, etc.) EXCEPT the BS political CFP!!! We don’t have a chance because they don’t want us to have a chance.

Wouldn't lsu winning actually help UT? I'm thinking UT > LSU > UA and if lsunis the secchamp, that's a path? I think the Utah win puts OSU in. Georgia is in. Michigan is in. Both those would only have 1 loss if they lose tomorrow. If TCU loses then bama or UT will get in, my opinion.

What if TCU loses and Bama gets in ahead of us? Fair?

I do wonder how they will handle it. If they take the whole season into account then they have to take into account how Bama looked without Young compared to how we looked without Hooker.

They struggled and we rolled. Noe the question is does the committee have the guts to jump us over Bama. If I’m Danny White I’m on the tv doing any and every interview tonight and tomorrow morning talking about the Vols.

At the end of the day when teams have an equal record their head to head status is the deciding factor if they played against each other. This is per the committee’s rules. We are both 10-2, we beat Bama, we should be ahead of them. Just more Bama ass kissing by the committee.

doesn’t matter how you spin the playoff turd Sammich, we are stuck in left field. Doesn’t matter who we play just win the bowl game.

If Georgia wins and Alabama sneaks in, that lands us in the Sugar Bowl. It is dumb that Bama would get in ahead of us... But the Sugar Bowl is optimal if there is no shots at the CFP.

Final 4 is set unless TCU gets absolutely drilled.

The fact that a OSU team that just lost by 22 is getting in….is ugh ridiculous.

I agree - they lost by 22 at home. They were only given a bye because it was UM. I would love to see Purdue beat UM by 20 something. That makes UM look worse and the loss by OSU look even worse.
