Can the impossible happen?

What if TCU loses and Bama gets in ahead of us? Fair?
We had our opportunity and blew it with the no show in South Carolina. Tennessee was treated fairly when they ranked us #1. They treated us fairly when we were dominated by Georgia. When you give up 63 points to South Carolina don't ask for fairness

Like it or not, Bama won 10 games and in their two losses, went toe to toe as a visiting team vs top ten teams in two of the most hostile environments in college football, losing on the final play of the game both times. We, on the other hand, got punked by an 8-4 team who was unranked just two weeks ago. Bad timing on our part. Unfortunate as it is, they deserve to be ahead of us.

Not so fast my friend...

TCU does not have to get drilled... they just have to lose to shake things up.
It's still a 2 loss Bama and a one loss TCU.

Think of it this way, if GA loses to LSU..... they are a one loss team, in a championship, and still in

TCU will be exactly the same: one loss, in a championship, and still in.

Hate to say it but Ala is deserving. Only lost on two game ending plays - don't have a terrible loss like UT. If UT had taken care of business at SC we would be in.
That’s your opinion. Many folks see it different, even some media.

I get your opinion, but my opinion is with an equivalent record and a head to head victory, it makes your point mute....In fact, even the playoff committee's own published criteria for rankings says likewise.

LSU lost to the worst team in the conference. That sure is an impressive loss for Alabama 😂

63 points. South Carolina. Two weeks ago.

Now I really wanna puke and have a long ass talk with our $@@“&#%! linebacker (not that I would survive five seconds of such talk).
What an opportunity to lay to waste in that cesspool known as Williams Brice.

When we were looking good a lot of the media and sportswriters were backing us, but as soon as SCjr. beat us like a stepchild, most turned their backs on us. We disappointed them, they're not likely to let that happen again. We are an afterthought to them now.

One down.Dream of a Kansas St. win and then a Purdue win. Then slide the five, six, and seven teams into the CFP final four.Ohio St. would then play either UT,Ala.,or Georgia. Then they would probably want the Rose Bowl.

Not sure a close loss by TCU will do anything.

TCU has the #1 SOR, bama’s is 5th
TCU’s SOS is 35th, playing the 10th ranked team will increase this, bama’s is 8th

TCU has wins vs 10th ranked, and 20th ranked

Bama has wins vs 20th and 24th

Common opponent: TCU beat a full strength Texas by 7, Bama beat Texas without their QB by 1

If TCU loses they would have 1 loss by the 10th ranked team

Bama has 2 losses by the 7th and 14th ranked teams (LSU will drop further if they lose)

TCU made it to their championship game, thus played an extra game that Bama did not play.

To me it looks like TCU would have to lose badly.

Do you do choose the team that is likely the better team right now or do you choose the one based upon the agreed upon criteria of 150+ teams?

Personally, I think TCU can survive a close loss. TCU, if they lose a close one, will have a better high end win than Bama(KSU) as well as 1 fewer loss.....

Bama had to injure Texas's starting and backup QBs in cheap shots and an admitted blown call to beat Texas by 1 point. This is their best win...

They needed late goal line stands to beat 5-7 A&M and unranked Ole Miss....

I dont see how TCU falls below them unless they get dominated...

Is a loss the deciding factor?

Bama has 2 losses, Tennessee was one of them (who beat them) and Tennessee beat the other team who beat Bama.

Tennessee has a better strength of schedule

Tennessee has better wins

Tennessee has a better road win

Tennessee has the head to head

Tennessee certainly had a terrible loss…….however what does “Bama”…….themselves have “over” Tennessee?

Tennessee lost 2 games, other than those 2 Tennessee was ahead by 17 points or more at some point in every other game this season but 1 (the Pitt game).

Bama literally won 3 games where it came down to the wire…….the literal last second.

Tennessee didn’t have a bunch of those. The Florida game was close at the end but with like 5 minutes to go Tennessee was ahead by 17…………they needed miracles just to make it close.
