Can Trump TRULY unify the GOP, or has that ship sailed?

I, as Rube Ultima, enjoy much my replies to his silliness.
I think he is a she or a they or something. I’m pretty sure I saw her say she’s a woman but it’s a message board so she could be a 6’8” 450-lb Earl having fun. And your posts are always entertaining McDad! I love your brand of humor.

First, I am so glad that you are on the other side of this from me. I wear that as a badge of honor.

Second, it was a pretty momentous event and really amounted to an insurrection and a failed coup. History will be the judge of the MAGA crowd claims that it was a simple tour gone awry.
Kinda weird that you both have some sort of fascination with Russia.

Victim mentality on full display here. How dare the right protest the left winning an election. I'd say it's a novel idea but they just used the Dim playbook.

Trump couldn't unify his fingers with super glue. But given the choices we have for November, he is a slightly less terrible option than Biden.

Won't bother with a poll as there are really just two options, yes or no.

I realize these guys compromise principles for politics every single day and so publicly they must endorse him. But its hard to get out of your mind the images of both Dem and GOP leadership being hustled to safety by those charged with their security.

I'd have to say that this is the biggest impediment I would have to voting for Trump, personally, despite the fact that in all likelihood I, personally, would benefit from a Trump, Part Deux. But I just don't see how anyone can with a shred of dignity or principle, anyone who claims to stand up for the US of A, could ever simply let bygones by by gone with the entire fiasco, from start to finish, not just 1/6, but the entirety of it. The vitriol, the misrepresentations of the basic facts.

We've got a million threads or comments about this, but this is a narrower question. How can anyone in the GOP, the party that wraps itself in the flag, ever vote for someone who fundamentally tried to defeat the very ideals and processes that define the US of A? Makes no sense to me.
The people who support trump see the end of our current form of government in favor of a more autocratic form, like russia, as a desired destination. They pretend to not see his flaws because they think they'll be better off in a white, christian nation, apparently not understanding that our freedom and our prosperity are chained together in such a way that we cant have one without the other.

I just want someone that doesn’t scream at people, crap their pants, and get lost on an empty stage. Not high standards

Neither candidate is unifying their own party. Ironically, they’re unifying the other party against them.

It will be nice when citizens are inspired to vote FOR someone, as opposed to voting against someone.

JD Vance is a loathsome, traitorous extremist--a fascist.

"No real Republican with any credibility is still blaming him."

Obviously, nearly all have long since stopped publicly blaming him because they're all cowards who fear for their jobs. Job security is the only thing
that keeps most GOP clowns from publicly blaming him for Jan 6 or from acknowledging anything that embarrasses or highlights GOP failures or weaknesses: they fear the irrational Earl vote--the overalls and beards MAGA crazies.

They all know he's the reason for Jan. 6---a blind and deaf person knows that---but Repubs just want to keep their jobs.
Apparently Nancy missed that memo.

I've never seen a coup attempt where the capital police literally walked the attacking coup through the capital like they were on a tour, opening doors for them and such. It must be the dumbest attempt at a coup I've ever seen.

Call it misguided people acting dumb, or a riot or whatever. But a coup attempt? Lol
Is it a coup because they only used 2 doors?

not a fan of your inflationary spending for socialist new green deals, elevating dei and climate change as the central focus of the federal government, war on American energy production, lawfare against political opposition like some banana republic, attacks on the USC, open borders....
