Cancel Dr. Seuss

Sure, there's some of that going on, but how do you get upset over culling out a few books in a Dr. Seuss exhibit while supporting attempts to overturn a certified presidential election with a pack of lies?
Got any more straw men? Who said I or anyone else who thinks this issue is wrong cares anything about a completely different issue? Or do you believe that all people define everything by party lines on every issue? Because I for one do not

Have you ever thought of giving up your right to fly a plane to a black man to atone for your racism? I didn't think so you white supremist.
LOL That's funny. In my experience, I have flown with female pilots, black pilots, Asian pilots, gay pilots... whatever flavor you choose to pick. And they were all just 'pilots' as far as I was concerned. And with the exception of one, none seemed to have any kind of chip on their shoulder. At least... as far as I know.

I swear Iā€™m so glad I have retired from teaching in public schools. 35 years. Iā€™m afraid if I were still teaching, I would lose my job and my pension with all the garbage going on presently. We had so much fun with the kids, fixing green eggs and ham to eat, everyone wearing Cat in the Hat hats that they all cut out, measured and glued, whiskers and noses on their faces. K and first kids would lay on blankets and read to each other because the words were easy to sound out and rhymed.

I have no words anymore.

I hate this type of journalism/writing

"But Dr. Seuss had a long history of publishing racist and anti-Semitic work, spanning back to the 1920s when he was a student at Dartmouth College. There, Dr. Seuss once drew Black boxers as gorillas and perpetuated Jewish stereotypes by portraying Jewish characters as financially stingy, according to a study published in the journal "Research on Diversity in Youth Literature.""

This short paragraph begins with what appears to be a general statement of fact. It goes on to cite an example that comes from the study but it's not clear if the "statement of fact" is indeed an independent fact or a conclusion from this particular study. Also were there many, many more of these examples as the statement "long history of" implies? Who knows?

If the latter (which I'm guessing it is) why not begin by saying this study claims (insert statement of fact).

hahahahahahahaha - oh crap, they're serious

The study also argues that since the majority of human characters in Dr. Seuss' books are White, his works -- inadvertently or not -- center Whiteness and thus perpetuate White supremacy.

Ever with an inflatable auto-pilot?

Since the influence peddler removed Dr Seuss works he had to replace them with something. So how many scratch and sniff books are on the list this year? šŸ˜‚

Personally I think we need to boycott green eggs and ham.

Clearly Sam is color blind and the book is making light of his condition.

Good question for your Dem buddies from the 2016 election.
