Candace Owens Rips Lil Nas X’s ‘Satan Shoes’: ‘Nobody Has The Courage To Tell Black America The Truth’

Ear plugs.
Yea, I just didn't think of that when I was in my late teens/early 20s. I think the last concert I went to I had some, but at that point I already knew my level of interest in live music was low.

I love music. Don't get me wrong. Just not shrilly sounding weed smoke filled arenas. Outdoor concerts weren't as bad.

Stone Temple Pilots in 2000. I didn't get the fascination with live music. Always came out of concerts with a terrible headache and ear ringing that lasted for days.

I remember I went to Knoxville with friends in 2006 or 2007 for either the Alabama or Arkansas game. Went to both but can't remember which trip. We stayed in Nashville on the way because Motley Crue was playing. My friends went. I chose to stay at the hotel and watch the Cardinals in the playoffs. I didn't care about live music, but certainly not hair bands from the 80s.

Not a big concert guy either. I don't really like big crowds. As for the social aspect of concerts, anywhere where there is loud music and people trying to talk, I just shut down. IDK how people do it, but I can only hear like 50% of the conversation and it's me either pretending I heard you or saying "huh?" until we're both tired of it.

I'm the kind of friend that will gently place my hand on your shoulder, lean in slowly, and yell "Shut the **** up we're at a concert!" if you try and talk to me at a good show.

What was everyone's last concert before the world ended?
Took my wife and daughter to the Garth Brooks in Neyland. I'm not a fan of concerts but my daughter has never been to a concert and I couldn't say no to Neyland stadium.I'm not going to lie, it was pretty good. Our seats were on the on the field about where the 40yd line would be.

Yep and yep. The only place I'll tolerate big crowds is at a football/baseball game. At least there nobody is constantly bumping me, filling the surrounding area with smoke, and you can talk. And there isn't someone constantly trying to steal your seat. For some reason that happened at the few concerts I went to with friends. Someone get up to pee? 2 min later some drunk dude wants to take that spot.

Mine was Massive Attack at the Anthem in DC. They did what was arguably their best record in its entirety and brought back all the guest artists from it (which is impressive considering the album is 26 years old) and did a random cover between songs. They covered everything from The Clash, Bauhaus, The Cure, Gary Numan, to B-52s. To top it off it had the best visual backdrop I had ever seen at a concert.

I'm the same way with football games. 1 game a year is plenty. I'd rather stay at home and watch it in HD and grill and swim and change the channel if the game is garbage.

It was cool when Led Zeppelin does it. Cool when Kiss does it. And really freakin cool when Ozzy does it. But when Lil Nas X does it and Candace Whoever tells us its not cool, then its NOT cool :)

Nah, my Granny told me I was definitely going to hell for listening to metal, so things really haven't changed in some ways.

I guess the difference is that your granny watches your social media when you're in high school now, whereas I nearly gave mine a heart attack once a day when I went screaming by her porch swing with the stereo system that cost more than my truck at 40,000 decibels.

Her letter, written in a shaky hand, condemning me to "ternal hellfar" is one of my prized possessions.

Next time past her house I was blasting this, though, and let me tell you that bass thumps.

Actually, it's codeine, not pills.

No kid knows what that means and it washes over them like "happiness is a warm gun"
It is if you're rich and can get codeine syrup. Average people crush up pills. And I'm sure there are kids that know what it means. I'm not arguing kids shouldn't listen to that song, I'm just saying its not the squeaky clean song people make it out to be.

Amber Woodhouse is incredible! Great musicians all around, I've always liked Steve Gorman (drummer for the Black Crowes) who plays drums and put this band together.

Is that the same Gorman that does the radio show Steve Gorman rocks? I always liked the Black Crowes.

Lean does not contain ANY form of alcohol, crushed pills, or other liquids in general.

Two best concerts I have ever been to. First was AC/DC at the ARCO arena in 1990 on the Razors Edge tour. And the second was, Dream Theater in 2005 for their Ovtavarium album.

Would have loved to see acdc. You are lucky!

Please please please PLEASE tell me you have a juggalo hatchet man tattoo.

Lol no.

But one of my best friends in the world has both the juggalo and the clown on his leg. He is a die hard juggalo fan and is the guy who dragged me to their concerts at Newport. I was 19 to 22 so dont judge.

Mosh pits are soda drenched shirts are no longer my thing.

I still listen to their music occasionally though.

My favorite band of all time. The thing is my girlfriend at the time was almost a bigger fan than I was. She was wanting backstage passes. I am glad we didn’t get them because she probably would have banged one of them lol

Pantera/Gojira/Amon Amarth/Weezer..best live bands/shows Ive seen.

Saw Pantera at newport in the 90s. I honestly don't remember the night at all and only remember walking in and hours later eating at a pizza shop. I heard they were great though.

Yes, that's him although I don't think he does the radio show anymore. He's an author also. The Marc Ford era of the Black Crowes was when they were at the top of their game.
