Even in 1998, some would still say Tennessee should not have been in that game.
What in the living hell are you talking about?!?!?

Tennessee was 12-0 and a unanimous #1 in both polls in the week after the conference championship games were played, which saw Kansas State lose to Texas A&M and also, UCLA lose to Miami. Ohio State had already lost at home in early November to Michigan State. Florida State had lost early in the season to North Carolina State. Florida had lost twice, including to Tennessee. NOBODY was saying that Tennessee did not belong in the 1998 BCS Championship Game. That is ridiculous!

Tennessee was the only undefeated team left from a major conference after the conference championship weekend. Tulane was the only other undefeated team in major college football, but they had not beaten a ranked opponent in 1998. Tennessee had beaten Syracuse on the road, Florida, Georgia on the road, and Arkansas who were all ranked after the conference championship games were played in December of 1998.

This is one of the most stupid, ignorant posts I have ever read on VolNation ..... in ANY forum. Get an f'ing clue!!!!!

My wife makes the best banana bread. It’s out-of-this-world restaurant quality and sold in several bakeries around town. People rave about how good it is.

This year as she was finishing up her holiday batches for delivery she realized she forgot to add the sugar. We each tried a piece and it was edible, but obviously not the same and not for public consumption.

Should she go ahead and take it to the bakeries and tell them to sell it anyway, since it’s still her banana bread?
in your scenario, no. But I fail to see the analogy. Leaving sugar out fundamentally changes banana bread. What if your wife substituted stevia and it tasted better?

Exactly. No Jordan Travis fundamentally changed FSU last year. Committee did the right thing.
