Carter Page FISA warrant request released.

Who corroborated the dossier?

Steele was an open source and the FBI and Intel community used other sources to verify or collaborate Steeles Dossier and even used interviews with Page to collaborate the intel.

Actually, it makes the FBI and the Intel agencies look pretty good and Nunes and company look like idiots. It absolutely destroys Nunes's claim that the FBI hid this information from the FISC. Nunes’ claimed that FBI was using Michael Isikoff’s Yahoo News article as independent confirmation of Steele’s intel when they weren't, they used it as a source for Page’s denials when he said he wasn't working for Russia. The FISA FOIA release makes clear beyond any serious doubt that the Nunes memo was amazing dishonest. And let's not forget that the FISA warrant was reauthorized 3 more times using evidence that was independent of the Steele dossier. In order for the FISA warrant to be renewed the renewal must contain intel and evidence collected in the 90 days before it is taken before the FISA Court.

The information is garbage.

That is the scandal. They provided phony evidence to a FISA judge.

It's one huge circular reference.

You need to read up on this.

Yep. There is so much more being covered up by Rosenstein and Mueller that is yet to come out. This is why RR has not been willing to turn over Docs to the House Intelligence Committee. As been said from the beginning, they are the real criminals, not Trump. Total setup that is slowly unraveling.

RR and Mueller are trying to run out the clock in hopes that DEMs win the House.

Trump needs to declassify all docs soon.

You're missing the forest for the trees...it’s about the ‘purveyors’ of the dossier, which were the Russians and/or tied to the Kremlin. Who tracked down and interrogated the Roooskees ? So we got 2 way hearsay. Or is it 3 way, damn maybe it’s 4 way hearsay from the Russians?

Good Lord, arguing & bickering back & forth like little 5th graders. You guys need a break from this....this isn't going to change your world one bit.

It doesn't matter who's right or wrong between you guys.
You'll have to live with it once the truth comes out.

Yeah it was an obscure and weak FISA(s) with questionable info, of which the FBI lawyers will somehow justify. Regardless of the truth. Nothing will happen.

Good read from Lawfare and David Kris.

What to Make of the Carter Page FISA Applications - Lawfare

The Nunes memo accused the FBI of dishonesty in failing to disclose information about Steele, but in fact the Nunes memo itself was dishonest in failing to disclose what the FBI disclosed. I said then, and I still believe, that the “Nunes memo was dishonest. And if it is allowed to stand, we risk significant collateral damage to essential elements of our democracy.”
But it is worth noting that—and as the Democrats previously pointed out—the judges who signed off on these four FISA applications were all appointed by Republican presidents, including one George H.W. Bush appointee (Anne Conway), two George W. Bush appointees (Rosemary Collyer and Michael Mosman) and one Reagan appointee (Raymond Dearie). I know some of those judges, and they certainly are not the types to let partisan politics affect their legal judgments.

Liked. A good post from you. Finally. :p
The fact that the board conspiracy theorists are arguing for the right doesn't help their cause. Pretty amusing actually. More blue balls.

It's sad how many people tacitly approve of a police state so long as it's bad for the other team.

Has it been discussed that Page wasn't wiretapped until 1 month AFTER he left the Trump campaign? Seems to, you know, explode any tin-foil hat theories out there that this was about surreptitiously spying on Trump.
