Carville and Begala might want to be careful what they wish for

You can say anything you want to about Rush - he doesn't care. He's a quitter that's wacked out on painkillers and 100% totally deaf (according to him). There's no reason a sane person would pay attention to him.

you do realize that you just called our President, insane

If Obama tunes into Rush during his lunch break and soaks up the buffoon's message, then yes, he's insane.

you did not say "tune in or listens", you said "pays attention to", it is obvious that he does or he would not comment about him

it's funny how these liberals will go into comfortable environments and trash Rush as soon as a microphone and camera are stuck in their faces. None of them have the intestinal fortitude nor the balls to debate Rush one on one, man to man, NONE OF THEM.

Obama is a stinking coward as well. How many times did he call out Sean Hannity, by name, during the primaries and the election campaign? Yet when invited, repeatedly, to debate Sean in person, Obama was mute. That fellow from an Obama rally, Mr. Burris, has more guts than Obama, because he actually appeared on H&C.

obama doesn't "debate" unless he knows what questions are going to be asked. for a supposed genius he sure is a coward.

call the man a buffoon all you want, but when he's harping on politics, he has as good of an idea about conservatism as anyone in conservatism.

I assume you've checked the closets of the liberals running around.

Wonder if any R can live up to the Kennedy manslaughter legacy, ever?

and lets all not forget....Rush is not an elected official or official in the party

Just once I would love a reporter to say "Mr. President, you never answered my question. You gave a general response, but it was not a specific answer to my question."

but that street goes both ways. Bush looked like idiot on a daily basis by avoiding questions left and right.

but, despite his degree from Harvard, Bush was never held up as this scholarly genius who's intellect was on par with Plato and Socrates.

I don't disagree with that, but there are hordes of idiots from Harvard. They still don't get a break for answering the questions they want to answer rather than the ones being asked.

What surprised me was the polling showing Rush has lower approval than Jeremiah Wright. Talk about irony.

That poll also said Ayers had a higher approval rating. If anything, that shows the blind following of Obama. No one with half a brain would approve of Ayers.

So if he's that far off the reservation, why the zeal to make him significant in the debate by engaging him and pretending that he is the face of the GOP? They've just won the White House handily and hold both houses of Congress. Shut up and lead already!

I have no idea. Maybe there is an element of "putting him in his place" or "putting his party in a position to support or denounce his affiliation".

On the bold, I agree completely.

. . . and if you actually thought it was a good idea for the White House to engage a windbag with a microphone and a website, see the transcript linked below - complete with a picture of Rahm Emmanuel in a leotard. :birgits_giggle:

Rush to the President: Debate Me

This is a battle they cannot win.

neither Obama nor any of his cronies have the guts to debate Limbaugh. They're like a bunch of yipping chihuahuas barking at a passing Rottweiler. As long as there's a fence between them, they're content to bark.

Limbaugh should be right below "Cow flatulance causing global warming" on the list of priorities. OB admin would be smart to not mention his name again and drop it.
