Gave this guy way too much crap when he played here. Watching some older games, I would love to have a guy like him behind center.

I liked Casey "The Iceman" Clausen. Man had nerves of steel in a game.

I was in Gainesville for the 2001 game. Loved watching him lead the band after the game.

I had no probs with the guy on the field. He was a douche off of it though.

My problem was more with fulmer getting into the kissing the Clausen family ring so he can get Jimmy. Was a big part of his downfall imo.

Casey is the most under-rated qb in the last 35 years. Dude was a road warrior! Tough as nails and a guy that others wanted to follow. I still remember Chris Hannon and the other wr escapes me, dropping repeated balls against Auburn. Casey was tatooing them in the chest and they would continue to drop the ball. The guy was a leader. Always loved some #7.

The biggest problem I had with him was any time he had to scramble. He would either run like a newborn giraffe or fall down like a house of cards.

I wish he hadn't have opened his mouth before the UGA game that year, though. "I could beat Georgia with one hand tied behind my back." We all know what happened in that game... Herp derp.

Casey had a 78% winning record while he was here.

2000 5 - 0
2001 11 - 2
2002 8 - 5
2003 10 - 3

Really not too shabby at all.

Right before half we missed two long throws to Donte and one to KW. Any of the three should have been complete. Then the fumbles by Stevens and Stallworth cost us big in the 2nd half. Some blame a Florida hangover (very likely), but LSU came to play as well. They had their share of NFL players on that roster. Bradie James in particular hurt us because we did not block him and Stevens could not break his tackles.

Casey is the guy that I wish Ainge & Bray played like (to be like Peyton is asking a bit much imo). He had an excellent command of the offensive playbook and the huddle. Two things that neither Ainge nor Bray ever possessed while enrolled at UT. I still have nearly all of his starts on tape and I show them to my oldest all the time, especially those TWO wins AT Florida & TWO at Bama. If Casey was an athlete, he would still be playing now. But he had some of the worst feet you've ever seen on a Qb (sans that end run against Notre Dame). Still love him though. Best here since Peyton.

Please Explain. I used to see him out with a really hot girl and people were calling him a douche. Didn't get it.

U pimpin with this post man. Very good job! Especially agree on him being the best we've had since PM and wish Ainge and Bray could have been closer to him. Especially Bray imo if he would have had the mental toughness/maturity of CC who knows how the last few seasons would have gone.

Just cause a guy is with a hot chick doesn't mean he isn't a douche. I'm sure u've seen plenty of guys with hot chicks and u know she aint with him for his great personality.

Not saying the guy was a bad guy just not someone I could and sit and talk to for much longer than a min.
