'19 CB S Anthony Harris (UT commit 6/8/18)

Getting them through high school is a much bigger concern than getting them through college. They have all the resources neccessary to get by once they are in with the Thornton Center

Come on now. Thornton or no, if a kid can't cut it in high school....HIGH SCHOOL, I suspect he needs to hit vocational and develop a life skill. Forget college.

That comment is more ignorant than the kids who can't read. But please carry on.

College is and should be an institute of "higher learning". If an individual isn't capable or motivated enough to do the bare minimum in high school in order to qualify, he or she doesn't belong in college. I realize this stance isn't popular among the entitled/snow flake/millennial crowd, but I don't really give a damn. Learn to turn a wrench or flip burgers.

There’s been plenty of debate on here about that...your scenario would put us at 20 commits/signees...gotta remember that Solomon takes a spot as well so that’s really 21...by strict letter of the law we would have 4 more spots left but there may or may not be several loop holes that change that number +/- 2 spots in either direction...

Long story short...I have no idea...and I’m not sure anyone but the coaching staff really does
If that's the case the remaining 4 targets in my opinion would be
Wright
To'oto'o
Jay
Moore
If we can get 5 then Hill/Robinson
I think Pruitt could do something special with Jay and Hill in the secondary to go along with McCollough, Flowers, Fields and Thompson. Could possibly even give them the opportunity to put Taylor on offense in 2020 if they're able to get another elite corner in the 2020 class. Taylor is a big time playmaker on offense and would definitely help replace what they'll be losing at WR that season

Only about 2 realistic options from those
Wright and who in your opinion? I think Jay is a legit possibility. IF the staff can get an inhome. I think TBA against a ranked Bama team during his visit, along with some of the other factors as far as his relationship with some of the staff goes, could be enough to make him want to spend the next 3-4 years in Knoxville. Apparently getting his mom on board is the biggest concern though. I think Pruitt has the chance at being one of the best in those situations though

Please can we stop moving players around and let them develop at their position. We should be able to do that with all the new pieces coming in.

Baby Boomers & blaming every societal problem on the mysterious millennial - name a more iconic duo lol

London & Keller cost us 2 spots somewhere...and Solomon

That's 22 spots if we eat those this year. 23 if he shift Solomon to next year.

Personally I'd rather take 22 and have a full 25 for next class. 3 spots left, Wright is a huge need.

Turning a wrench pays better.

This is subject to change, however, depending on the political climate...........

Just fill up on blueshirts! You can do it forever and they’re quality!

I did read this on of all places a Rutgers recruiting site

players who transfer in take up a spot within the overall 85, but only count as initial counters if they transfer in at the beginning of the academic year (as opposed to mid-year).

So if Solomon were to enroll mid-year (january) he would not count against the 25.

He wouldn't have to count against this year's 25 but would have to count against next year.

Or be a ballhawk?
Hit running backs behind the line of scrimmage? That's also a potential career path.

Turned wrenches my whole career and I can attest to this. College is now spitting out mechanics/maintenancde workers with Mechatronics degrees that put them into places right away that start higher than a large majority of other degrees.

I agree but if our depth at corner in 2020 is significantly better than WR which it very well could be it might not be a bad idea to put him on offense

He wasn’t going to be a blueshirt, anyway. He’s not a GRADUATE transfer. Good news tho, will piss off Tidal Surge something fierce! 😉
