Yes we have lost to Alabama quite but calling this game a bad break is someone that does not know very much about Alabama Volunteer football.

We are going to win 2 games that we will be underdogs in this year Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama or Oklahoma.

I think our only road win comes against Vandy and our only home loss will be Bama.

7-5 and bowl bound, with the possibility of smacking UGA in the mouth early on and a surprise 8-4 finish.

I don't care how bad we been it the last 5-6 yrs. we are not starting a losing streak against an Ole Miss. team. We will start our way back to the top by putting away these typs of teams Ole Miss, Vandy

Maybe you didn't watch very many Ole Miss games last season?

I never thought we would be happy with 6-6

WTF!!

Heck vol nation wanted to build a cbj statue after a loss to ga last year.

Yes our fans have accepted defeat regardless of the tradition and championship expectations that prior vol warriors have built...and that's what is sad..

We need to burn something down people....lol

If we have a qb, any qb, that can actually deliver the ball to the receivers, we win 7. If we find that that qb has wheels and can scramble or that one of the running backs actually is what we thought they were, we steal one more win for 8. If the defense gels and is a legit SEC caliber defense, we keep every game close that we actually lose. I predict only one blowout loss this season.

I'm not really sold on Georgia being the same with Murray gone. Alabama always has talent on their team, but they are without McCarron. Florida better get better than last year if they want to compete. I think it is a wait and see year. Coach Jones has recruited some great talent and I would wait and see after the first two games before I would make any major prediction.

We hope not, anyway.:whistling:

I think Florida, Georgia and South Carolina should be wins!

I also think Missu, Vandy and Kentucky should be wins also! But hey that is me!

If we can stop Georgia running attack I see no reason why we cannot beat them!
South Carolina new QB is not a big runner so we should know they are going to pass it more this year. So I think we beat them! Florida i am not sure about but we play them later in the year and so we have to beat them. Tired of losing to that loser of a team with that loser HC! Mississippi we beater beat! All i got to say on that.

6-6 and a bowl game win and I'll know we are headed in the right direction...This is going to be a very young but very talented team and its only going to get better...Plus you know CBJ is gonna bring in another top notch haul of recruits to keep building so I am comfortable in thinking he will right the ship and get us steam rolling teams in the future.

Utah State
Arkansas State
@ Oklahoma
bye
@ Georgia
Florida
Chattanooga
@ Ole Miss
Alabama
@ South Carolina
bye
Kentucky
Missouri
@ Vanderbilt

now, because of tennessee's youth and recent past history....the road games are losses. the exception being vandy because it's the end of the year and freshman won't be like freshman anymore and james franklin is in happy valley.

so, that's losses to ole miss, south carolina, georgia and oklahoma.

another loss to bama....because it's bama.

i'll give butch the benefit of the doubt in games at home vs. mizzou and florida and tennessee goes 7-5.

Possibly the best post you've ever made.

Personally I think USCe and UT are matched well. UT could win that one even in Columbia. OTOH, UT has found a way to lose to UF long enough not to count that one a win. BUT also... I think UGA will have a choke in them somewhere during the year... They always do when they have very good rosters. Maybe that will be UT.

I am not certain of what Ole Miss has but I do like that UT sits in the middle of a stretch where they play TAM, Bama, UT, LSU, and Aub. UT plays OM right after Chatt.

The points you make here are exactly why I believe we beat at least 1 of UGA, USC, and UF. I wasn't aware of OM's schedule but that makes me feel a little more at ease as well. All in all, I really think we'll be very surprised how the 2014 season shakes out.

you may not remember, but i've had tennessee going to a bowl game the last three seasons.

so, don't go to vegas with any of this.

As with any predictions, we are sitting here without knowing who breaks out, who catches the injury bug, which coaching changes will have impact, etc. Honestly, I do not think there is a single team in the SEC this year that is injury tolerant... including Bama. Every team could see a 2 or 3 game swing based on losing one or two of a handful of critical players.

i will also say that the florida game will be very interesting.

muschamp isn't completely clueless. he knows that if florida loses to tennessee (having already lost to alabama) with lsu, georgia, south carolina, and florida state still on the schedule......he can start packing his stuff in his office immediately.

it's an absolute must win to keep his job and florida will have a bye week. i can't promise florida will play well (it would be nice to see), but i can promise that they will play very, very hard that day.

at the same time, it's a must win for butch jones.

Unless we just sustain injuries of epic proportions I'm actually predicting 7-5. I think we beat the following teams...

Utah State
Arky State
UTC
one of these 3...Ole Miss/South Carolina/Florida
Mizzou
Vandy
Kentucky

I think we get rolled by Oklahoma, Georgia, and Alabama.

Great, now if we don't have a winning season, those who predicted it will constantly say I told you so and those who didn't will make excuses. Does this website come with a subscription to Life Alert? lol.

P.S. - I'm in the 6-8 win camp so take this post with a grain of salt :)

UT should be favored against Mizzou and Vandy by the time those games come around. Unlike many, someone at CFN seems to have looked at Mizzou's roster losses realistically.

That site's got them going 8-4 with a worst case 6-6.
