Hear me out before saying I’m a nega as I’m far from it. The #1 ranking helps us as we could stay at 4 or drop to 5 this Tuesday. It depends if Clemson loses. However, the final rankings usually change after Championship Sat.

The committee will take an undefeated TCU team and possibly a one loss PAC 12 champ over TN. So I am hopeful Clemson loses tonight, though they just scored and it’s 28-7 with 10:14 left in game. TCU has to lose imo. They play Texas next week, so “Go other UT!”

UGA- in playoff with one loss

Bama- in if they run table; playing LSU now, Ole Miss, and then UGA if they run table. I hope they lose tonight and beat Ole Miss
Ohio St/ Michigan - I’d think the loser woiod stay home but could see ESPN and others fight for them.

Oregon/USC/UCLA- Oregon plays Utah and USC Vs UCLA. Not sure who plays who in PAC 12 title game.

I would feel better if Clemson and Bama both loss. And thenTN run table with TCU losing tinTexass next Sat and Oregon losing to Utah. Call it BVS but I always get nervous when our fate falls on a @committee’s shoulders.”

It’s so awesome to be talking about “playoffs.” A Clemson loss will bring more energy to this TN team as they would know that there are three open spots, w possibility of two w Bama losing and then Ole Miss losing to Bama

Nah. Bama was still ranked higher than TCU with 1 loss for a reason. Strength of schedule is still on our side against all others, more wins against top 25 teams than anyone this year. LSU beats bama? Good, we destroyed LSU. Alabama wins? Good we beat them too. We just need the perineal contenders (Clemson) to lose in order to stay top 4.

Yup. TCU has nothing but 2 and 3 loss teams left on their schedule and the person they'd face in the BIG12 title game would also have minimum of 2 losses. If that wasn't bad enough, they are struggling with weaker teams.... Winning by 10 over WVU and Texas Tech ain't gonna send them up the rankings.

I agree TCU needs to lose. It appears Clemson has lost. So with them does a ACC conference championship game win give them another quality opponent to help them plus obvious of just being a conference champion? The one I am really concerned about is the PAC 12 Champion. If they only have 1 loss i see them getting in. Ucla and USC have to play. We need someone to knock off each other.

I say all this yes we have the best 1 loss resume. However afyer today inheriting UGA to improve SOS. our SOS is going downhill as we inherit bad South Carolina , Missouri and atrocious Vandy. That will be a bad way to finish. And all those conference champions have a pretty good opponent.

So yes we will need lots of help. I think we are more likely to get jobbed and I say that sort of in like a shocking manner. Sugar Bowl in almost any season and especially us entering with what expectations we had is still great. However with hopes of playoff it would be deflating to get sent to Sugar and seems like we would have been screwed.

I'm sure you're right, I just don't trust these people. Though I suppose that the ACC is definitely out now, we just need one of the other two to go as well as Alabama.
