I'm just advising you on how to gain respect. Do as you please.
I'm not here to get respect on knowledge about sports, thats not my cup of tea. I'm here because I love the teams that I love and one of those in common would be the vols. And people telling me who I should and shouldn't root for, who I can and can't root for, definately don't get respect from me. And if you want to bring Jake into it, the reason why he gets respect is not because of his like for the steelers, but because of his vast knowledge of sports.
What exactly is the reason for disliking Cowboys, Steelers, and Colts?
Man you have your tighty whities in bunches huh?
Ultimately, you are not the one that has the say so. So I did and I will when the pats win.
Don't wear tighty whities. I would guess the negligee you put on everytime OE and a few others log on has gotten bunched up a couple of times though.
Well since you're into bandwagoning, I've got a site you should check out.
TigerDroppings.com - LSU Football | LSU Recruiting | LSU Basketball | LSU Baseball | LSU Sports
yeah, why let facts and good football get in the way of semantics. From now on, the level of involvement you have in discussions about football should be limited to two things: 1. whether or not you think the qb is hot or not, and 2. do you like the uniforms or not. if you stick to those two things, you'll be fine, and it will make the rest of the discussion much easier on the rest of us.:thumbsup:While yes its different, blah blah blah, to us peyton haters, the logistics don't matter, its who has done it first. GO ELI!
there's a term for this fan: Bandwaggon. and Windy has her ticket in hand, waving it proudly.I think the problem a lot of people have is that a guy like jakez4ut has been cheering for the Steelers his entire life. You've been cheering for several teams for a few years. Yet, when any of those teams manage to beat Cowboys/Colts/Steelers you gloat about it. That doesn't jive.
Additionally, if you've only been following football for four years, it should be illegal to root for the Patriots unless you live in Boston/Foxborough.
Also, Eli Manning's first season was in 2005, so if you've been following the NFL for four years, you should still be aware of how long it took him to get to the Super Bowl. He was the freaking number one pick, after all and there was a whirlwind of controversy surrounding his draft/trade.
i have two reasons to hate the patriots, the afformentioned game above, i honestly thought the panthers were going to go to ot in that game and have a shot at 'em. the panthers played great in that game.Being a Panthers fan, how could you hate those teams and not the Pats, who beat your beloved Panthers in the SB 4 years ago?

and the Pats have beaten the Steelers twice in AFC championship games, both at Heinz feild, one of which i was present for in -15 degree weather. that was a long cold walk back to the car. and i haven't forgotten any of those three games.
nothing brings people together like good old fashioned hatred.Exactly. Those are the things that grow hatred and shouldn't be overlooked because "their QB is hot".
I think that's why alot of younger fans don't understand the hatred towards bammer that the older fans have. During my formative years, bammer beat us like a drum on a regular basis. UF is starting to approach that, but bammer will always be the most hated team for me. Same goes for the UK BB team.
