To the A-holes that painted the rock last week - egg on you if our team pulls the upset this week. To all you good fans that will be in Neyland - throat chop anybody that tries to chant fire dooley. Nut kick anybody that chants hire grooden.

I want to see Dooley stay...at least through next year, he and his seniors deserve that. and letting him go before that will only set the program back again.

If we get our asses beat by bama very badly, we should wear paper bags. Shame causes action quicker than anger.

on the flipside - 100,000 fans chanting "KEEP DOOLEY" would certainly give the pundits something to talk about.:)

Free speech. Unfortunately, it is the way of the world. In 1988, I watched some fool walk around Neyland stadium with a Fire Johnny banner in his hands. Fans will always have their opinions and wishing violence on them does no good.

Where do you people come from??

I cannot believe we have such cry baby fans that they feel it is appropriate to do such a classless act. I am sure the powers to be are well aware of the shape of the fanbase and the need for the team to win. Why bring shame on the entire fanbase on national TV with our most hated rival on the field.

Shame on me. I thought about going back and editing, you called me out. No problem with that. It's the thought that count's. No Violence, please. It would be very upsetting to see fans, UT fans, chanting to fire our coach - whom I think is rebuilding our program the right way. People forget that schools like UF, Bama, LSU,,don't rebuild. They reload. We happen to be rebuilding.

We'll be on national TV and a chant of "fire CDD" would only prove to the entire country and some Tennessee fans are ignorant and totally classless morons and we do NOT want our program to be seen in that manner.

It will also have a negative effect on our recruits and their parents.

It would also prove to any new prospective coach that they never want to coach at Tennessee in front of classless morons like that.

If someone does start crap like that then I hope somebody beats the crap out of them and shuts them up really fast because a good butt kicking is just what that scumbag will deserve.

I also agree that Gruden will never coach at Tennessee but dreamers are allowed to have great fantasy dreams, LOL!

VFL...GBO!!!

I want change but some people are classless. Show you are better than the trailer trash that Fowler called us. Don't back up his words with your actions.

I am done with Dooley. DONE. That being said, I'm going to Knoxville to try to find a ticket. I will not, under any circumstances, take part in a chant to fire anybody during a game. I will not boo any players (refs are fair game). My guess is that the people that would start such a chant are probably going to be staying home for this one.

I agree with SamRebel.

... "turd" being used as an insult? Is this the 1990s?

Regardless of when the chant is started, I'll wholeheartedly join in on it. This is a football game... **** whatever you idiots qualify as "class."

I thought you weren't a Tennessee fan. Why would be at the game amway?

I hope they stay there when we start winning again.

They'll have a new head coach to cheer for when we start winning again.

That being said...and this coming from one who thinks Dooley is and should be gone...booing your team or coach, especially at home, and especially against a traditional rival...is inexcusable. A pox on the head of any that do.

Better you should withhold your ticket money and stay home than pay it to show up and boo.

If this makes any sense...I think UT is going to lose; I think Dooley is gone (and rightfully so); but I am still going to be cheering for my Vols, and their head coach.

Go Vols.

I'm trying to figure out why people here are talking this up as a defining game. Who honestly going into this season expected we'd win this game of all those on our schedule. The Fla game, the Georgia game, the SC game maybe were the chances for upsets. But anyone who expects this to have a W is extremely optimistic...it's possible, but so is fusion power....don't buy stock in either just yet. It's unfair to start talking about a job being on the line for a game we were never expected to win.

God... I hope that does not happen. I'm one that has lost hope in Dooley, but let's have some class.

I think there's a chance. Unless the fans all leave before the 2nd quarter.

What kind of cadence would it have? Would it be like "fi-yar Doo-ley" Or "fiiiiiiireeeeee....DOOLEY"! These things need to be worked out ahead of time!
