I'm trying to figure out why people here are talking this up as a defining game. Who honestly going into this season expected we'd win this game of all those on our schedule. The Fla game, the Georgia game, the SC game maybe were the chances for upsets. But anyone who expects this to have a W is extremely optimistic...it's possible, but so is fusion power....don't buy stock in either just yet. It's unfair to start talking about a job being on the line for a game we were never expected to win.
I am done with Dooley. DONE. That being said, I'm going to Knoxville to try to find a ticket. I will not, under any circumstances, take part in a chant to fire anybody during a game. I will not boo any players (refs are fair game). My guess is that the people that would start such a chant are probably going to be staying home for this one.
I can't argue that as far as other games...and the Fla and Ga game were both winnable for sure. I think Miss State is better then either honestly.... but this game we knew what is likely from get go. I really want to see what Dooley can do through next year...and also let Sunseri have another year with defense, he just got here, and it's unfair to blame him for years of poor fundimentals under that west coast crapola D system. We haven't been that far from winning in many of these games. but our D has to lock it down, and play good fundimentals, and stay disciplined and in their lanes, and stop just trying to go for epic hits like some HS team.
Also we have got to either get, recruit, or build up a player to be a serious running back....maybe Neal will shine. I dunno...But we need a stronger RB then what we are seeing now, and we need a fundimentally sound D that doesn't get rattled, and sticks to the plan for four quarters.
I'll lead one during that stupid opening prayer garbage.
You're the James Franklin lover right? If you are, which I may be wrong, I remember you saying you would continue to laugh at Tennesee losing.
