Chance of a "Fire Dooley" chant during the game on Saturday?

I think there's a chance. Unless the fans all leave before the 2nd quarter.

I hope not. It would be embarrassing for our fans to not appreciate the feelings of the players. And yes, booing the Coach in front of Alabama will embarrass our team.

I think James Franklin is better than Derek Dooley and I will laugh uncontrollably when Tennessee loses to Vanderbilt provided Dooley is still the head coach during that game. You know, at both the result and the threads on this forum.

Does not, however, mean that I don't like the Vols.

I'm sorry, I took it the wrong way.

If our fans do this then kiss recruits goodbye. That would used against tn for the end if time even beyond Dooley era about how redneck and classless the fan base is.

... "turd" being used as an insult? Is this the 1990s?

Regardless of when the chant is started, I'll wholeheartedly join in on it. This is a football game... **** whatever you idiots qualify as "class."

Turn in your fan card, please. We say that players should come to a university because of the school and not the coach. Well as true fans we should pull for the players and school, regardless of the coach. Even though the Vols are struggling, bashing Dooley does nothing for our program. Last time I checked, Coach is the only one that was willing to come to UT an try to return us to our glory days and for that I am grateful.

I for one will be yelling and screaming like we are undefeated!!! Don't embarass this team more than most of our fans already have!!
I don't believe for one second that they don't wanna win and will come out playing hard and doing there best! Are they poorly coached...probably, but save the Dooley hate for Sunday morning! He is not a bad guy! Just because he not Gruden or Saban does not mean he deserves this crap!! He WANTS to be here and WANTS to win!!!

i can't think of anything more embarrassing and disrespectful to happen. i've been of the opinion that dooley is in over his head since i first heard his name (the only plus on his resume btw), but as the capo said, 'nothing personal, its strictly business'. there's a solid case for dismissing dooley, but do it the right way. what we don't need is another mattress burning disgrace.

I'd love to be Tennessee's head coach and I sure as hell would want to win 14 games a year and a national championship. However, just because I want a crystal football doesn't mean that I have the abilities necessary to make that a reality.

Dooley hasn't done anything in two and a half seasons as Tennessee's head coach; any caustic behavior towards him on the fans' behalf is completely warranted. Don't take a high-pressure job if you're not willing to subject yourself to people hating you when you're not doing well.

My mattress has been marinating in lighter fluid since the floriduh game.

I personally feel only certain people should boo. Not the guy who even buys a ticket once in awhile. But the guy who has to fork over a donation plus cost of his season tickets every year and subscribes to cable just to watch our away games. No one should tell that guy he can't boo. I donate and have season tickets for basketball and have since 90s. In football I just buy a pair of tickets here and there and therefore wouldn't boo as I haven't invested enough money to boo the product. I will say I am a NegaDools so am not interested in his feelings being hurt as he is compensated very well and tough critics and pressure are to be expected.

Agree to an extent, but just because you try at something and fail does not mean you deserve to be crucified!! I don't expect him to give up just because Vol 'fans' think he should. He is going to fight until he is not given another chance!
