Charlie Strong fired by Texas. Buyout is $10 million. Inherited a poor team, but a big miss by UT.

Look for him to be hired as a special assistant at Bama soon

Supposedly it's not official and some reports are he'll be coaching the finale. Either way it's a matter of time before he's gone.

Be shocked if Herman isn't there next year

I still think he should've waited for the UF job, that was his area and all his recruiting connections from what I remember hearing. Hard to over come a bad fit I guess, boosters didn't make it any easier I'm sure.

Edit: I am glad he didn't wait for UF though.lol

They had to move fast after LSU lost and Orgeron isnt get the the job now

I think he's been fired but they just haven't made it public...too many "verified" Twitter accounts telling it that he's out...McMurphy is a little more cautious though

Regarding the one you posted at the top of the thread...a verified twitter account just means the person is who their profile says they are, correct? It doesn't really have much of anything to do with whether the source is reliable or a strong source or not.

He's likely gone - and it was probably this game that sealed his fate - but I doubt it was a "he got told once the flight landed on the tarmac" type of thing either.
