They just had a Texas insider on Russilo and Kanell, he said it wasn't a done deal yet, but there was virtually no booster support. Pretty obvious the handwriting is on the wall, the Kansas game could have bought him another year, but.... Only mentioned Herman as a replacement, and FWIW said the players want him back but at this point that means zilch.

BTW, he did leave the possibility depending on the TCU game that he could be back.

Notably Texas players threatening "boycott" of last game vs TCU. I guess they're Charlie Strong-Loyal, that the players really like him. Seems like a good guy.

I saw Mack Brown discussing this last week. Basically everyone is pulling for Strong but you have to win.

Pretty sure he meant win out.

I've seem some reports that Herman has multiple offers (including LSU and Baylor). Given all the controversy, I don't see how you'd pick Baylor over either LSU or Texas.

Fisher is LSU's first choice, but it sounds like they might be playing way too much of the more money game. Herman would potentially be a great fit for LSU with Aranda but it just seems that is more unlikely. Not sure why Herman would go to Baylor, not saying that isn't a good place to go or anything.

Herman to Texas, possible Jimbo to LSU.... and if that does happen don't be surprised by Lamo to FSU.

Do you think Orgeron is retained by the next coach and if so, does Orgeron even agree to stay? He's been the "bridesmaid" twice now at two big time programs. Do you think he just accepts that it's not meant for him to be a head coach or does he go somewhere else?
