Do you think Orgeron is retained by the next coach and if so, does Orgeron even agree to stay? He's been the "bridesmaid" twice now at two big time programs. Do you think he just accepts that it's not meant for him to be a head coach or does he go somewhere else?

Coach Orgeron, your thoughts:

Yaw Yaw Yaw Yaw Yaw haHA! Yaw Yaw Yaw Yaw!

Man, that is a tough one to call, I hope he stays on board but yea its hard to see how that works out. I hope he gets another shot somewhere though, not sure that is going to be LSU. Although the Florida loss was a bummer, its hard not notice a positive effect.

Would be awesome to have him back on the Hill.

It does seem like they were blindfolded and tossed a dart at random coaches. There is no rhyme or reason with most of this list. And some that are just head scratchers.

Texas Longhorns Coaching Hot Board: Top 10 Replacements For Charlie Strong

10) Major Applewhite, offensive coordinator, Houston
9) Todd Graham, head coach, Arizona State
8) Jim Mora, head coach, UCLA
7) Lane Kiffin, offensive coordinator, Alabama
6) Larry Fedora, head coach, North Carolina
5) Dan Mullen, head coach, Mississippi State
4) Les Miles, former head coach, LSU
3) Jim McElwain, head coach, Florida
2) Hugh Freeze, head coach, Ole Miss
1) Tom Herman, head coach, Houston

It's a complete WTF list...

SMUs coach might be another one to consider. far from a favorite, but it makes a bit more sense, imo, than some listed by Grand.

I say so as the TCU game is over so is he. Witch that is just my opinion.

Who you calling a witch? Just because I dabble in the dark arts doesn't make me a witch nor should you assume my gender. I prefer warlock and/or wizard thank you very much.

I could see him taking that job. Don't think he'd go to LSU as OC. He's waiting on the right HC job. Houston would be in good shape for the next guy.

I agree but how many schools want to take a chance on him. Houston would be a good fit.

On the other hand I'm sure Kiffin and Saban can't stand each other which might make Kiffin jump to LSU if he has no HC offers.

This whole situation might get really interesting. I think a few would at least consider him for HC and claim Saban has took the douche canoe out of him to an extent. I just don't think the man will ever be a decent human lol but that is an entirely different conversation for a different day. If he did go to LSU do they bring the entire gang back and make Lane's old man DC? Lol

According to his contract, Strong will be owed upwards of $11 million for the remaining two years he was guaranteed. It will also cost the school millions more to get rid of the assistants who had guaranteed contracts, a first at Texas

Yikes.
