Is it Vol fans or just society in general? Everyone wants what they think they can't have. If Arkansas would have hired Strong yesterday 80% of the people on here would be calling for Hart's head. It's like a girl you don't want until you see her out with someone else. Gruden is like a virgin that leads you on but never gives it up. Everyone wants it because deep down they know they can't get it. The people on this site reek with desperation. Have some damn pride people.

We havent wont anything since 98...

We havent been nationally relevant since 2002....

I will be happy with making a BCS bowl, and actually a spot in the SECCG

Strong is a great coach and deserves a fan base that is all in with him

bring in an experienced OC with some ties, and we could be cleaning up.

I think that Strong will be an excellent recruiter at UT. Should bring in some big time talent. Just need to get some great assistants to coach em up. I like the hire, if it is true.

Were talking about Joe Tiller Purdue? Drew Brees was the quarterback. That big 10 is was way better than this year's big east. It's apple's to oranges at this point. Ryan Nassib won't be a 31st overall draft pick this year either!

Our fan base is a joke at times, some of you will never be happy. If it was Gruden, it would be "he hasn't coached in college as the head guy". If it's Strong "He plays in a weak conference and doesn't have what it takes". I honestly believe if we pulled Saban, some of you would say "he's a Bama guy, we don't need him".

Here's an idea, get on board with whoever gets hired and support them. Saban sucked at Bama his first year, as did Muschamp at FL. I don't expect us no matter who the coach is to come out winning 9 games next year, so relax and let the people that get paid to do their jobs at UT do them.

Sure. Saying that winning, SECCs and national relevance all count for something is exactly the same as saying that I want to be inferior to bama forever-- especially considering that the statement immediately followed, "We all want national championships."
