Watched the first two episodes. Interesting to see something I remember from my childhood being made into a documentary.

I remember the talk at school being that the radiation was headed for us and we were in big trouble. I remember being scared for a few weeks.

So...one of the Pripyat women featured in ep one is a dead ringer for the gal with the little girl that Arya tried to save..I wonder if it is the same actress?

Watching the first episode right now and this is extremely intense and atmospheric. It has a eerie, horror film vibe to it. Very well made, I highly recommend it so far.
Plus it has the dude in it that played Lane Pryce in Mad Men; his scene in the cold open is great.

It's a great show but some of the people aren't even trying to hide their English accents. Russian name but speaking the queen's English.

I am kind of glad they are not trying to pull off a bad Russian accent for this particular show.

At least HBO gave me something to get excited about after this horrid GoT debacle. Lovin this show so far.

It's an odd phenomenon I've noticed the past 10 years or so; I'll notice an actor or actress in something and then suddenly it seems like they are in everything.

are you insinuating Hollywood is devoid of any original thought and only replicates what's popular these days?

One of the Lannister soldiers who were with Ed Sheeran around the fire is in the first episode (all I've watched so far)

The 3 men who volunteered to open the sluice gate were only expected to live a week or so. I saw something recently where 2 of the 3 are still alive and the 3rd died of a cardiac event 10-12 years ago.

Last few nights my wife and I caught up on this show. Man its intense and I love the science behind it to explain how crazy it all was. At this point it seems like they keep having the "Good news buuuuuut" a little too often but the perspective gets reigned in when the line of "this planet has never seen anything like this" drops.
