It isn't misleading. Are you really saying that you should compare straight up Tennessee gun deaths vs. California? That would be misleading.
So the fact that Alaska has nearly triple the rate of California looks normal to you? I agree that the numbers are bad across the board. The whole country needs to do better. More laws isn't the answer. Maybe we need to work on reversing the trend of devaluing of human life.

sure let's cherry pick our fun Memphis v. Chicago... Next.
Let’s do Memphis vs some podunk county in the south now. If you’re gonna cherry pick might as well do the extremes!

If Billy Bob is intent on breaking the law by buying as many guns as he can "legally" and then reselling them illegally on the black market, then by reducing the number of guns Billy Bob can legally buy will impact Billy Bob's efforts to sell guns illegally on the black market.

Oh, and by the way, Wednesday follows Tuesday.
Billy bob would be a dumbazz to do this. This isn't how criminals and felons are getting guns.

You didn't like state to state because Tn was the clear loser. So we did worst city in the state compared to its counterpart. You don't like that either because TN lost.

Hint... you really don't want to bring Tx into this game.

Bring in whoever you want. You’re the one that started this cherry picking. For every one you cherry pick somebody will be able to counter with their own case.

How about you judge Chicago on its own merits of its strict gun laws are doing zilch to control its gun violence? Novel concept huh?

But it is doing better than cities without strict gun laws.

Of course it is. They are buying guns that were originally purchased legally. Stolen guns would make up a very small percentage.

Lol. Not even close.
People already break the gun laws in what they are doing. Or what you believe is happening.
Adding more gun laws will not fix that. Its naive in the extreme.

As others have pointed out, if it was the people collecting guns that were the issue, the issue would be a LOT worse.
It's lunacy and would do nothing.

People that are willing to break the law here will not be affected.

You like pointing at anything but that city and that city has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation.

I’m still having more fun than you.

You realize you are losing, right?

You call Chicago a failure and provide no basis for that opinion. I say let's compare it to cities with more lenient laws and it seems to be holding its own.

Of course I'm not saying guns should be banned. Never have, never will.
People who take advantage of the abysmal gun laws currently in place to profit from selling "legally" purchased guns on the black market are partially responsible for the shootings in Chicago. I'm guessing some of those people are good ol boy rednecks.

How many examples of that do you have?

Oh no I reject that. Chicago is a total failure on their own merits. Their strict gun laws are doing absolutely nothing to curtail their gun violence. You’re just trying to get people to look elsewhere and ignore that.

You have to have a basis for comparison. Is Dallas worse? How about Houston? Nashville? Simply offering your opinion without basis for comparison is worthless.
