Chick-Fil-A President: Men shouldn't eat other men's chicken

I like the kickin chicken sandwich, so I've helped my sister who is a cfa manager recreate it. She vows to offer our version when she gets her own store soon.

That is the sandwich I get.

Zaxby's had a chicken parmesan sandwich for a little while that was very good.

Her store going to be in Knoxville area?

The distinction I see here is that we do have a traditional definition of marriage that is one man/one woman. It says nothing about race. Claiming interracial marriage changes the meaning of marriage was done but doesn't have a basis in the long used and accepted definition.

A bit tangental but if I was 1/16 African American and 15/16's Caucasian should I demand that I be legally recognized as African American? If I'm not are my rights being violated? Why should full AA's care if I am defined as AA? It doesn't affect them?

Apparently, in Mississippi, you don't want to be any AA if you want to get married. Even to other AA members of your own freaking church.

Lol at the people acting surprised that the well known Christian company would be against homosexuality. If you don't like it, don't eat there. But when you gonna quit buying gas bro, cause the folks we get that from do far worse to gays than say its sinful.

California. New operators have to start out west because they are just starting out there. She moves to Bakersfield in two weeks.

To me that's the funniest part of all this. The Cathy's haven't exactly hidden their values since day one and now that it's really out there, all the hypocrites have to give up fried chicken.

if a result of this brouhaha is shorter lines in the drive-thru at lunch time, then I say "bravo" mr. Cathy.

Lines will be longer now. All the church people will make a point to eat there at least once per week to show support for Mr. Cathy.

Agree - and their Christian faith doesn't bother me. It's their spending on social politics that does.

Not thrilled about the Amazon spending either, but I belive history will show that they came down on the morally right side of the issue...All I can do is vote with my money - what little I have.

Whose Morals? yours? not mine....Mr Cathy is on my moral side.....and those of the majority of the US....

You're missing the point. It's not meant to be. If a straight couple don't want kids that fine. Most people marry to start a family and you can't naturally do that if you're a homo couple. If they don't want kids, ok, but what's the point in getting married? Attention? Just saying look we're gay, we're special?

What? Seriously?

What's the point of getting married if you don't plan on having kids? Attention? Just saying hey look, we're heterosexual?

How about a public commitment to each other in front of family and friends? Or - how about the ability to carry your spouse on your insurance? Or, to gain the title of family so that you can actually be a part of your loved one's care if they were to be gravely ill - or to have the ability to make decisions at the end of life for your loved one. Or, the ability to combine finances and have some legal recourse for settlement if things go awry.

I could keep going. There are clear reasons why folks might marry....gay or straight...even if they didn't plan on having kids.

I have been boycotting CFA since day one. They think they're too good to cater to those with peanut allergies! Bastages!

The whole "ban them from the city" thing will have no impact on them. Chick-Fil-A is pretty much a Southern institution, so they'll be fine.

The whole thing kinda bugs me. Why make such a big deal over it? I don't care what gays do. I don't care what straights do. I do take issue, however, with everyone calling those who don't support gay marriage a hateful bigot. To tell the truth here, I know several gay people who are Christians who find this ridiculous as well. They wonder why everybody can't get along just as much as I do. And sadly, that's because of extremists that exist on both sides. Hardcore conservatives want the liberals to be miserable while the super liberals want conservatives to jump off a cliff. What about the moderate conservatives and moderate liberals? Nobody focuses on that. I'm tired of the media only giving the nutjobs all the attention. Let's turn it over to something else for once.

You know gays that are Christians? I'm just not sure I follow their logic on that one. That's like playing for UT and calling yourself a 'Bama fan.
