I just don't like when people are labeled as bigots or even called intolerant when they hold a belief strictly because of their religion. I find it a little impressive for some to blindly follow the word of the Bible so passionately. I have trouble doing so, and I always have a small piece of me that wonders, "am I wrong to question this?"
An intolerant bigot is someone who doesn't believe in gay marriage because they think gays are icky, and it makes them uncomfortable.
Don't get me wrong I do not wish harm on you either....I was just stating the problem with calling one intolerant for their beliefs while seeming to be intolerant of that person...I am sure we could get together and shoot the bull and have a great time....like I stated earlier in this thread....Hate the Sin....Not the Sinner....I am friends with plenty of Gay people...I work with 2 now and we get along great and they know my stance and I theirs....and we are fine....seems they would rather me be open about my beliefs in front of them instead of behind their back....what kind of Christian would I be if I totally dismissed the person and never tried to be their friend to show that I do have compassion for their soul.....ostricizing (sp) them does no good....I try to love all people(except cops.....thats for you OE)....I don't believe in shoving my beliefs upon you but I will mention it once and would be their if you ever wanted to discuss further...just bc we disagree doesn't mean I don't like you
DUBLIN, OHResponding to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy's recent controversial admission of the company's donations to antigay groups, a statement from competing fast food chain Wendys let consumers know Monday that it has long supported same-sex couples and only harbors strong objections to interracial marriage.
The still-simmering controversy sparked by the Chick-fil-A president's public comments against same-sex marriage is set to reignite this week, as more than 500,000 people say they will join former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" on Wednesday by "simply showing up and eating" at one of the company's 1,600 restaurants, while protesters backed by gay and lesbian groups plan to participate in a same-sex "kiss-in" on Friday at the same stores.
Chick-fil-A braces for protests, same-sex
Real talk, I could see violence erupting if a bunch of gays interrupt people's lunch.

This whole thing is rediculous. Its a Christian owned company, what a shocker that they would have Christian values! If you don't like it, that's fine. Don't eat there. But this whole "same sex kiss day" is just disrespectful to families. Shame on people trying to make a point by going into a family restaurant and going at each other just because someone doesn't agree with their lifestyle. What a sad state this country is in.
Your post was alright 'til you said "disrespectful to families". Lulz

I would argue that it is hypocritical for them to argue that what goes on in their bedroom is none of our business on one hand, then they consider pulling a stunt like this where they essentially bring their bedrooms to CFA for the world to see.

I just read all twenty pages of this. Basically, if you believe the Bible you are a bigot. If you don't, you are tolerant and understanding.
No matter what I am told, I don't hate anyone even though I may disagree with his actions.
Mr. Cathey has every right to spend his money as he sees fit. Tomorrow, I will give him a little more as I join those supporting his right to free speech.
