Chick-Fil-A President: Men shouldn't eat other men's chicken

Are the Gays going to eat their chicken sandwiches before or after the kiss-in ?

Once they smell that chicken and waffle fries sizzling in the deep fryer, they will not be able to resist.

I assume they won't be buying but I bet CFA will have some free samples - would be interesting to see if "resistance is futile".

I'm hoping that it doesn't turn into service disruption - would be bad for all parties.

"shove it in the face" of gay people (an unfortunate choice of words) by having an "appreciation day". Well if that's the case then the kiss-in is likewise a "shove it in the face day".

hopefully the whole thing will fizzle.

I'm proposing that linking opposing gay marriage to being equivalent to a segregationist is the new version of Godwin's Law or at least a corollary.

I think this is a fair point as this does seem to be the trend. You will not find me equating the gay rights movement with the struggle for racial equality; however, I do think there are similarities and that is likely why many compare the two. Bottom line is that if you view gay rights as a civil rights issue, as many do, then it makes a modicum of sense to make the relation. But is it right to equate them? I don't think so.

My views on gay marriage have changed over the last few days from opposition to what the heck.

I am beginning to believe all men should have the privalige of being nagged about watching sports all evening instead of doing the yard work....

My FB page had just one or two comments about it. No one really seems to care except the extremes of both positions.

I'd agree its going to fizzle, except that I really don't think it was much of an issue to begin with.

Two hour wait at all cfas is a whole lotta extremes.

I personally have no problem with gay marriage. Voted for it when it was on the ballot here.

But this "kiss-in" strikes me as going about things the wrong way. If you want people to believe that there is no difference between straight couples and gay couples, and that gay couples are just as family-oriented and wholesome as anyone else, then making out in a fast food restaurant would seem to be sending the exact opposite message.

This x1,000.

I don't care either way about gay marriage. I'm a Christian, but them being able to marry doesn't impact my life. I won't hate.

But this whole "look at us, we're here, we're queer, get used to it" attitude has become a little brash.

And for those equating this to segregation: go read a history book. Blacks had a separate everything and were spat on and kicked in public. Fire hoses were turned on them. Read up on the brutal murder of Emmitt Till. It's insulting to even insinuate that they're comparable. Gays might not be able to get married in every state, but blacks couldn't even get a good education. Not even close to comparable.

It's funny because it's true.

Literally everything back then was communist, wasn't it?

He showed them.

It's crazy that he bullied the girl and felt good about it because he was fighting hate.

A bit karmic for him too that people have found out who he is, where he works, etc. I certainly don't advocate anyone messing with him but I'm sure some will give him a taste of what he gave.

I would love to see Gator's posts if the tea party took to the streets doing this stuff.

I might go to CFA tomorrow, just to see if a chicken sandwich tastes better with a side of sodomy.

1) I was suprised to learn that CFA was a hateful company. I wonder what how he feels about MNC's in various countries around the world where a house cat has more rights than its citizens?

2) Aren't you suppose to fight hate with love? He's not as intellectually inclined as he would like others to believe.

Hateful company? You aren't paying attention. He was asked about his thoughts on gay marriage on a Christian radio station. Him being a Christian, stated his opposition to it. He never once said he hated homosexuals.

That guy in the video just made himself look like a buffoon. This whole issue has been blown out of proportion, in my opinion - all the way from the Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day to the planned Kiss-in on Friday. If the owner is against gay marriage, then so what. As far as I know, they don't discriminate against gay employees or customers. People should just not go there, if they don't like it. Personally, I don't plan on eating at Chick-Fil-A (and that goes back to a decision made long before this current debate came up), but it's the owner's right to do with his profits whatever he wants. It's also customers' rights to dine there or not. Obviously, I have my views on gay marriage and equal rights, but none of that matters if no actual discrimination exists in the company's hiring and serving practices.

You are totally confused. See what my comments are in reference to.

I think you may have misinterpreted PKT Vol's post. He was being sarcastic about the whole "hateful company" thing.
