It's a private business. They can do anything they want to. They haven't refused to serve anyone, correct?
I work for a company whose policy is to not take any order that contains material of questionable content. That is cusswords, nudity, etc. We turn down orders every day. But the owners are a Christian family, and they are not doing to comprise their beliefs for a dollar.
No, they should leave their Bibles at home. Compassion should be in your heart regardless.
If its just an opinion, no. If you act upon it, yes.
You can believe what you want; however you do not have the right to force your beliefs upon another and vise versa.
You can have your own thoughts 'till the cows come home. You can and should voice them within your religious network. However, you do not have the right to legally impose and restrict a non-harmful lifestyle of another.
I have no qualms with Chick-Fil-A, Truett Cathy, or what Dan Cathy said. I support any business to be able to conduct themselves however they please as long as it does not harm others. To answer your question, I would actually support their right to refuse service to homosexuals if they so desired.
I don't necessarily condemn someone for having an anti-gay stance, but this is ridiculous.
Refusing service to a customer who isn't in any way threatening the business's regular activity, especially if it's just because of an individual trait that in no way affects anyone else at the restaurant, that is an outrage and it's a throwback to the days of segregation - unless you believe that also "did not harm others."
It's the matter of a private business having the right to run their business however they see fit vs the government being able to dictate how a business will be run.
He mentioned it "not harming others," which is the part I took the biggest issue with.
That being said, I do think it's within the business's right to run itself however it wants to as long as the consumer has other options. I just hope that if the business is going to discriminate that blatantly and pointlessly, it is met with a swift boycott and quickly crumbles.

So I can think what I want but I have to be a sheep and be quiet and obey....I don't think so....then fine call me a bigot or intolerant that is your right and it is my right to voice my opinion and try to do what I feel is right....you may and probably will disagree but that is your right also...
Apparently you did not read my second post...I agree you do not try and force anything....that usually turns people off from it....sorta like they are doing to us non gay Christians with their talk about well if you don't agree with us your uneducated and backwards....but only Christians shove their beliefs down peoples throat(no pun)....or how about that EVERY new show on tv has at least one gay/lesbian in the plot.....

I said "act upon it". I don't consider opinions or voicing opinions as acting upon your thoughts.
I was referring to legally forcing it upon another.
I'm glad somebody stood up for their beliefs. I went straight to CFA and got supper when I heard about this ordeal. You can do anything you want to in this country except have some morals. Aren't homosexual people trying to force their views on this man? Does his opinion not count because he's a conservative christian? There is a huge double standard when it comes to these issues. He's not harming anyone by expressing his opinion. I guess gay people will have to settle for Zaxby's.

how so? Seems they're taking their views to the market place just like it should be done
