...or it's a sign of respect.

wasting your time man. most of the guys on this board think that the potus shouldn't respect any one. Everyone should bow to him and thank him for not taking over their country, they have no problem with the potus holding a saudis hand for 5 hrs though

You shake his hand, you nod your head in respect, you don't bow. I wonder if he offered to shine his shoes for him too?

If he wants to bow to the leader of Japan, fine. At least execute it properly.

But stop bowing to our enemies, and apologizing to them.

Do you really expect that sorry excuse for a president would stop bowing to our enemies? I think it's a fetish of sorts.

Yea really, I did pay plenty of attention to Bush, he was not great but he was better than Hussein. And he sure as in the hell would not bow to anyone.

It's too early in Obama's term to say if he is better than Bush or that Bush is better than him. And that's why nobody respected Bush. You have to give it in order to get it.

The POTUS is not supposed to bow to anyone. Shake hands, yes. Show respect, yes. But to bow is to show weakness. But he is very good at showing weakness.
