Republicans Spur Investigation into China-Owned Corporation Given Billions in U.S. Tax Dollars to Build Rail Cars

The China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) is now being investigated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) Inspector General (IG) after the China-owned company has raked in billions in American taxpayer money, producing rail cars for a number of cities in the United States.

The CRRC, owned by the government of China, was initially awarded a $138 million contract with the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to build at least 45 new rail cars.

Already, the contract has been marked with delays and production issues like “‘repeated failures of water-tightness tests,’ faulty interior panels, wiring issues, repeated brake test failures, and ‘unsafe emergency exit windows,'” according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

A wise man once said " I don't know what weapons WW3 will be fought with, but the fourth will be waged with sticks and stones."

Any shooting war between us and the ChiComs would be the first war ever waged between 2 nuclear powers. We have no idea how that works out....or if that is even possible since we humans have never been much good at showing restraint or remaining calm...especially in times of war. Nothing good could come from war with China though, and i honestly don't want thousands of young American men to go and die for an island on the other side of the world anyway. Our new mutual decense agreement with Japan and Australia brings more complications

Somebody should definitely be poised to destroy Taiwan's semiconductor industry before letting it fall into Chinese hands. That's a poison pill; it makes the capture of Taiwan of little use to China. China would gain virtually nothing except the wrath of the civilized world. To be honest, I can't see how a Chinese invasion of Taiwan doesn't end with destruction of Taiwan anyway.

TBH....the CCP has stolen it already. Biggest criminals on the face of the planet

A DC think tank recently did a simulation and said the exact same thing. Taiwan would be a wasteland.

Apparently the Chinese haven't been able to duplicate the best of the available chip technology, and the last I read they hadn't been able to duplicate the engine technology that makes our fighters better. That's just so far; no doubt they are trying. The Chinese have been trying to lure fighter pilots from the west to train their AF, so far at least a couple have been caught and are facing charges. Based on their records we need to be kicking them out of our universities and research facilities - that's another no brainer that is being ignored; several Chinese embedded here have already been proven to be members of the Chinese military.
