China Thread

my point holds, unless you are expecting Ukraine to blow up Russia's fleet out of Vladivostok, of course I would be referring to their Black Sea fleet. thats the one Ukraine is dealing with.
Russia can suck a whole bag of dongs. I’m not gonna throw any water on Ukraine taking it to them.

They sank the flagship for the Black Sea fleet. They should be proud of that. I’m sure they are.

Anyone remember Ras claiming that China was acting in ways that would actually aid countries and not lock them into a debt spiral like western lending practices? And I told him it was bs, they were. all those construction loans were trojan horses to being owned by the Chinese outright.

China's loans pushing world’s poorest countries to brink of collapse.

multiple nations failing to pay back the loans after they got less than promised, by the Chinese, results from the loans.

I didnt see that you posted this before me bro. Sorry guys.

Still... F you china. Bastards

But we have a poster in here that consistently chirps that interest payments on National debt are a non-issue?

I wish everyone would realize Ras is an idiot

I mean who cares that we are literally just throwing away 6% of our multi trillion dollar budget.

And so what if that 6% is getting ever larger. We can clearly afford to just throw away money, and it's no issue taking that extra money from people.

I asked him 7 times before he would answer this -

At what point does something greater than 6.1% become a problem?

“When a critical mass of Americans believe it’s a problem”.

😳

Highly unlikely.

How many carriers, amphibs, destroyers, and attack subs could we have gotten to counter China for the money we’ve paid out???

I might do an accounting of that.

Careful, you’re about to labeled a Putinist unpatriotic commie. If you don’t fully support every dollar we send Ukraine you’re just not American.

Lol. That’s fine. I’m no Putin fan though.

And I’m all for assisting Ukraine, in multiple ways. But the amount of money we’ve apparently sent is just bananas.

Especially considering the money crunch we’re currently in AND the future fight with China on the horizon.

A number I keep seeing floated is $113B in total aid. That’s not all straight cash, but that’s the value. What else might be “valued” at $113B?

10 Ford Class Supercarriers
or
57 Arleigh Burke Destroyers
or
29 Virginia Class Attack Subs
or
1,412! F-35C Fighter Aircraft

Could pick more than a few each from those specific line items and come up with a nice mix to counter China in the Pacific.

I decided to breakdown how I would allocate an additional $113B in value to the Pacific to counter China.

(This list is for fun, and for effect. It’s not exhaustive/inclusive. It does not include men or materiel. These are simply additional line item adds, and are not meant to represent viable groups.)

2 Ford Class Super Carriers
4 America Class Light Carriers
5 Arleigh Burke Destroyers
35 Constellation Class Frigates
72 F-35C Fighter Aircraft
88 F-35B Fighter Aircraft
48 SeaHawk Utility Helicopters
5 Virginia Class Attack Submarines

That is -
6 Aircraft Carriers
40 Surface Combatants
5 Submarines
208 Aircraft

For IndoPacific Command to deploy against China.

The dollar will be absolute in power again, when we defeat China.

So i personally don't even pay attention to the cost. They're just numbers to look at anyway.
Also it's not just the US. The entire South East Asian region backs US over China because they know China, and their complete lack of respect for their direct neighbors.

Oh.
And here's what few are talking about. Russia and China could very well turn on each other the longer this plays out.

Regardless, there's no turning back to the 100s of millions of people that are going to die over the next 10 years as result of all this.

lol what? Why would 100s of millions die and where?
