Chinese eating BATS, RATS, DOGS AND CATS and they love it!!

I don't have an issue with how the virus is named. I have an issue with dehumanizing an entire culture as subhuman or worth less than us.

I don’t agree with that either. It just seems a lot people (not meaning you) think it’s a problem to label it from its origin. It just seems that this is another instance that people take on a cause because they think somebody is supposed to be offended.

Meh, it originated in Wuhan. Call it the Wuhan Virus.

My boss just told me our CEO is working on a relief plan for hourly team members based on tenure.

The WH just had a briefing on a stimulus for small businesses and their employees. Something akin to relief checks to hospitality workers and payroll tax cuts to owners.

Finally some good news. Good on your CEO.

Zep this is gonna sound absolutely brutal but it's the truth.

The life of a chinese national is worth less than an American.

In America we have decided all humans deserve the right to make atleast 7.25 an hour and in some states this is much higher. In China they don't have this right which is why we use them for the equivalent of slave labor.

In America I have the right to free speech. A Chinese person does not.

In America I have freedom of the press. Not in china.

And this goes on an on.

Their lives as a whole aren't worth much in the eyes of their own government.

Just cheap labor that can be run over by a tank in the middle of a square in broad daylight if the government feels like it.

I disagree entirely. The government in communist china values the lives of it's people slightly less than our goverment values ours. The current economic environment values chinese labor less than ours. These are true.

A chinese man, woman, or child is every bit as valuable in reality as any other in the world though. All life is sacred and valuable. This should never be forgotten.

I hate many things the chinese do, and how our politicians and business owners have allowed them to undermine our ability to produce our own goods. I hate the way the CCP treats their people...and I hate the chinese military and many things that they do. I have been open about this, they are the greatest threat we face as a nation from any outside source. Not Russia.

I will never say that an American life is worth more than a Chinese life though, unless we were at war and talking about military personnel, because then...then I am no different from the CCP who oppresses and beats down their own people. Hitler got a country not much bigger than Tennessee to murder 6 to 10 million Jews by convincing them that " a jew life wasnt worth as much as a german life ". It is a very dangerous mindset, in addition to being completely false on its' face.

Get this liberal bullcrap out of here!

Hope you're well, buddy.

I don't normally throw around the xenophobic accusation, but this thread is ripe with it. Different cultures eat different things. That doesn't make them savages or subhuman, as some have suggested in this thread. When people whine about why everyone give Red Hats a bad rap, dehumanizing an entire culture based on diet is why. It is a lazy and weak argument.
There are still cannibals' in the world. Being cannibals is a long held part of their culture, does this make them savages or subhuman? In my mind it does. But according your def. to dehumanize this cultures based on their diet is wrong, I think you'd be wrong. If you can agree that eating other humans as part of their culture (not a Donner party type thing) is disgusting, animal like, then you are agreeing that based on diet, some groups are disgusting, and your entire argument falls apart. If you think being a cannibal is okay, that speaks for itself.

For 35 years the Red Chinese commies had a ONE CHILD policy, this resulted in far more male children than female children (how?). Many believe aborting females, or having them mysteriously die upon birth was the way to go. This has resulted in at least 30, 000,000 more males than females, so were females every bit as valuable to the Red Chinese Culture? I think the fact show they were not. We all see how bad the NAZI culture was, they did not believe Jews were worth as much as Germans, just as the Red Chinese did not believe their own female children were worth as much as male children. It is very dangerous to make excuses for the Nazi's or the commies.

There was a story not too long ago about a Chinese guy picking up a deer that had been hit by a car and he was followed back to his restaurant with it. He tried to say he was gonna keep it for himself.
Yep. I saw that. I’m pretty sure that was really close to where I live.

I was taking merely on an economic level and the way each country viewed it's own

Absolutely can't imagine dealing in such macro proportions. I'm so sorry. 3 venues has me stressed, because I know 12 parents are about to lose a way to provide for their families.
So our aid package was just announced. It will cost us an estimated $100 million dollars. We proceeded despite being told by the .gov that we are too big for any federal dollars. Market cap hit now stands close to $11 billion dollars in 3.5 weeks.

USA Today:

"Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, drew a backlash on social media and from Asian American advocates on Wednesday for claiming China was "to blame" for the spread of the coronavirus because of a "culture where people eat bats and snakes and dogs and things like that."

'These viruses are transmitted from the animal to the people and that's why China has been the source of a lot of these viruses like SARS, like MERS, the Swine flu, and now the coronavirus, so I think they have a fundamental problem, the Texas Republican said to reporters, saying he did not object to a geographic name for the virus.

Asked about Asian Americans' concerns about racism, Cornyn said, "I disagree. We're not talking about Asians. We're talking about China, where these viruses emanate from and created this pandemic."

Cornyn met a swift backlash on Twitter.

"Can we go back to when being racist in public wasn’t cool?" said Democratic attorney and politician Bakari Sellers on Twitter.

I guess Asians are tired of being left out and are jumping at their chance at being stupid offended.
