Chinese eating BATS, RATS, DOGS AND CATS and they love it!!

I've never eaten a city/sewer rat but I've had nutria, muskrat, and possum. With the right seasoning, any red meat I cook will be better than McDonald's.

However, you're moving goal posts. Can you outline how McDonald's is less barbarous or morally superior to eating a bat, rat, dog, or a cat? You're the resident logic nazi (well, you try to be). This should be easy if my notion is so ****ing crazy.

I'm afraid "it's icky" won't suffice here.

My wife's family is from Southern Louisiana. Some of her brothers friends come up deer hunting every fall. One of her nephews has been down there a few times and went hunting Nutria. They reportedly are quite the good eat, but have not passed my front teeth yet. Got a friend that has served BBQ possum at church functions a few times and no one knew what they were eating till he fessed up. He new how to cook one down proper. I have avoided eating that as well., but it is a southern staple at some tables. (That friend lives in Jackson).

China: Hundreds Protest Arrest of Fresh Food Seller During Coronavirus Lockdown

Hundreds of residents of Yingcheng, Hubei – the epicenter of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak in China – organized a protest against the arrest of a man selling fresh, affordable food as an alternative to the Communist Party’s old, overpriced offerings, the South China Morning Post reported this weekend.

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei, about an hour from Yingcheng, according to the Post. Wuhan itself has been home to several incidents of civil disobedience as Beijing imposed a violent lockdown to prevent the Chinese coronavirus from spreading, welding people shut in their homes and leading to suicides and needless deaths of people unaffected by the virus. Among those protests was a particularly embarrassing incident for the regime in which Wuhan residents drowned a visiting vice-premier in a host of boos from their windows, banned from going outside.

According to the Post, the Yingcheng protest occurred last Thursday, highlighting the difficulty with getting information out of locked out communities. As residents have not been allowed to leave their homes, the Communist Party has been distributing food door to door. Residents complained of reportedly old, insufficient, and extremely expensive food.

Get bent. Read the first three posts of this thread if you want to see what I was responding to.

Look up the ****ing definition while you're at it.
Serious question, what happened in your meeting, did you get the FOH individuals help in the uncertain times or did you quit? Not trying to be a jerk.

Money's tight in this business. Won't be able to offer them more than a third or so of what they make. We'll also be taking their average hours/week worked. It'll run at about 10-13/hr for as long as ten days, then we start talking about hits for us.

I hope the hysteria was worth it.

I hope the hysteria was worth it.

We're not closing yet, but this is in the event that the government mandates it.

Either way, hope your post made you feel good.

Again your infallible President will be the one doing this. At least you'll have a couple of days to conjure some sort of hair brained spin on it.

@volfanhill

Let's hear how this is hurting you and your employees. It gives @volfanjustin satisfaction.
Down 60% today. Running with bare bones crew. All expenses have to be run through me. Was off today. On the phone for probably 8 hours of the day. Daily phone calls with my boss the SVP. We have taken about a $7.5 billion dollar market cap hit in three weeks.

My loss isn't quite that high.

Absolutely can't imagine dealing in such macro proportions. I'm so sorry. 3 venues has me stressed, because I know 12 parents are about to lose a way to provide for their families.

I don't normally throw around the xenophobic accusation, but this thread is ripe with it. Different cultures eat different things. That doesn't make them savages or subhuman, as some have suggested in this thread. When people whine about why everyone give Red Hats a bad rap, dehumanizing an entire culture based on diet is why. It is a lazy and weak argument.
