Chinese eating BATS, RATS, DOGS AND CATS and they love it!!

I don't normally throw around the xenophobic accusation, but this thread is ripe with it. Different cultures eat different things. That doesn't make them savages or subhuman, as some have suggested in this thread. When people whine about why everyone give Red Hats a bad rap, dehumanizing an entire culture based on diet is why. It is a lazy and weak argument.

You obviously haven’t read much of the thread.

Absolutely can't imagine dealing in such macro proportions. I'm so sorry. 3 venues has me stressed, because I know 12 parents are about to lose a way to provide for their families.
The people piece is catastrophic. My GM’s are having a hard time with it.

Or been watching the news. If your diet consistently produces apocalyptic diseases then something is wrong.
So every disease that has ever happened originated in China because of their diet? Different cultures eat different things. We may find it taboo, but that doesn't make anyone "more human" than anyone else, which is what is being insinuated in this entire thread.

Of course not but there’s nothing wrong with calling it what it is when it happens and it happens quite a lot. FYI I don’t care if the Chinese are offended. Eating bats, dogs, cats, etc is nasty and disgusting regardless of “culture” especially when it spawns a new disease/virus every couple years.

Some cultures wipe their ass with their hands when they crap. Some eat other people. Is it ok to call them savages?

We're not closing yet, but this is in the event that the government mandates it.

Either way, hope your post made you feel good.

Again your infallible President will be the one doing this. At least you'll have a couple of days to conjure some sort of hair brained spin on it.
You are the one that had been pulling for this you little f’ing weasel not me. I feel bad for the workers, not you all who have been asking for this, you all deserve it

Your first post was actually better before you edited it. Yeah we get it, f anyone not American and dehumanize them.

That there’s nothing but commie propaganda
I have extended family that have lived in China for a decade. They had their own personal government person that follows them anywhere they went for a year. Still to this day if you mention “Trump” or politics on the phone the line is likely to go dead within seconds. Any stats that come out of China are likely BS. Even I f literacy is high it is due to the government wanting to further advance its propaganda.

Lol. Thanks for showing your CNN qualifications. FYI if an American was eating some disgusting s*** and spawning new deadly viruses they would get the same treatment.

I don't even have cable. I just don't think it is wise to dehumanize an entire ethnic group of people. We aren't going to agree on this, might as well not beat each other over the head about it.

You don’t need cable all you need is internet

Yeah, I was totally writing my representatives about it. All the bars are probably closing by the end of the week. Most of them won't be paying their employees.

Piss off.

Like I said the other day, we should have finished the little f***ers off after they bombed Pearl Harbor.

I assume every person in China doesn’t eat the most exotic, disgusting, bushmeat they can kill. You don’t have to taste test everything that moves at room temperature.

Let me preface this by saying that my wife is a nurse, but please don’t take that as me saying that she knows more than these medical experts or others analyzing the situation, but just as an example of how this is not necessarily xenophobic, but more of how things like the flu get their genesis. When I got my flu shot this season around late October I remember asking her what the expectations were around the hospital for the flu season. And I’m paraphrasing “we really don’t know yet, we basically just look at China and see what comes out of there each year to use it as a barometer for our flu season.” I asked why and she basic reasoning was because of exactly what we are seeing as the cause of this right now. Their dietary habits, sewage system, etc.

I don’t think identifying the source of the virus is racist or xenophobic. To me and I’m guessing many others, this is just another example of identity politics being used for political gain and to paint one side as bigoted. If the damn thing originated in Toronto I doubt anybody would actually care that it was called the “Toronto Virus” or “Canadian Virus”. People would be making jokes left and right.

I don't have an issue with how the virus is named. I have an issue with dehumanizing an entire culture as subhuman or worth less than us.
