Chinese spy balloon hovering over Montana

So your father who worked at some job at Oak Ridge at some point in the past says the US doesn't currently have the capability to detect radiation emitting from a giant balloon?
I highly doubt this thing is radioactive, but wouldn't an encasement of lead block the ability to detect any?

You guys remember that time that China rammed one of our spy planes and forced it to make an emergency landing in China? Just recalled that. Held our guys for a long time while they went through our plane. Good times. You control your airspace. Plain and simple. It’s fundamental.
It was an EP-3. The hotshot Chinese fighter pilot was trying to dust off the spy plane and it got too close and they collided. The Chinese pilot rightfully died for his stupidity but the EP-3 sustained too much damage and had to make an emergency landing. The pilot in command set down on a Chinese airfield. It was an intelligence nightmare. They should have ditched the aircraft and destroyed it.

I know it doesn't take much to get truthers posting in all caps... but there are a lot of all caps being thrown around rn.

I get that there are reasons not to shoot it down right away, but it can’t be allowed to leave our airspace. It either needs to be shot down or hacked and brought down. It should never be in Chinese hands ever again.
Oh we’re gonna get our hands on it. Or the remains of it. That’s why I don’t think there is anything of value on it.

I had no idea we had so many military and foreign policy experts here, apparently even armed with knowledge of classified information ! I'm honored to have you share this expertise with us commoners.
Does it take a military or foreign policy expert to know standard protocol would be to ground an unauthorized flight in U.S. airspace? I really don't think it would.

We’re gonna shoot it down. I’d guess there have been fighters with missile locks on it since it entered pit airspace while the ELINT aircraft take it apart with their various sensors.

I doubt we do. IF we do it will be over the ocean and “we couldn’t recover any of the debris”. Meaning the Chicoms got what they wanted, Joe attempted to look tough and the idiots will believe it.

Nah as soon as the cone under it clears land it’s coming down. If it winds up landing outside 12nm then we’ll see how big of a pair Puddin Head has.

welp, they saying the Montana sky explosion is a mistake now. Which is what I thought when I first saw it. Mass hysteria taking hold. Many won't believe it tho.

Someone else shot a vid of the balloon over mizz too.

I believe it was Bush 45. We recovered the aircraft and put the plane back in service. The Chinese gave it back to us disassembled in a bunch of boxes. Very… kind of them. I’d guess every system in the back cabin of that aircraft was rapidly retired across the inventory.
