Chinese spy balloon hovering over Montana

As someone who believes there are objects flying around not from here, this is way too coincidental to be happening now after the balloon fiasco.

Something stinks, and it's not from aliens.

2 options:

1. This is a genuine increase in flying objects that has never been seen before
2. These objects have always been around and at or near the same quantity, but it is politically convenient now to start to make a fuss over them in the past week... get everyone in a panic and generate fear.

The Alaska shoot down has been long enough, give us some info. How hard is it to find some type of language on a part and just throw out an origin even if it’s not correct. I’m not understanding the silence.

XI, baby, you missed your chance. You should have attached a low yield nuke to the balloon, detonated it when the thing was over the center of the nation. The resulting EMP would have knocked out all the communication, and power grids infrastructure. Then launched a massive first strike. Only problem is, the sea prowling submarines, on being unable to contact the mainland, would have auto attacked the two nations most likely the cause of the blackout, you and the Ruskies. Probably also sent ole Kim of the DPRK, nuke or two just for good measure. Still...

If there were a list of 100 things that we needed worry about, this would be #10,000 on the list. it should be assumed at this point that some objects are going to slip by. Plus, if anyone has any thoughts of our air defense system really being able to stop a substantial number of nukes coming over the Arctic, they are delusional. Sure, we might stop a few... or even 95% of them even. That 5% that do get through would still be a catastrophic event.

Maybe we should learn to play well with others and do away with this constant poking of nuclear powers. Just a thought.
So you're talking about our ability to stop nukes from attacking the US and then in the same paragraph you say we need to learn to play well with others? Maybe the ones attacking shouldn't be trying to land grab others.

Your ideology of bending over and taking it up the back side, capitulation, truly astounds me.

As far as I know, and correct me if I am wrong, but there is only one country that I am aware of that has used nuclear weapons.

Lol, you crack me up with your whataboutism. You're the one talking about the US being the target of a nuclear attack, presumably by your Supreme leader. What would be an appropriate response from Pootin if we flew spy aircraft over your Russian homeland?

He should have responded to the last sentence in your post but we both know that’ll never happen. The bald dwarf has already turned that thoroughfare into an 8 lane highway 😂

I was simply making an observation that most reasonable people already know. Russia pointing nukes at us is breaking news? The observation, again to be clear, is that air missile defense system will not be able to completely eliminate all of the threats from Russia. So why not chose diplomacy rather than escalation and provocation?

I'm sure the response would be to shoot it down if I had a guess... or at the very least scramble some jets? Maybe call the Pentagon? I could see all of these or a combination being reasonable responses.

Why? You said it was a big nothing burger. I think you said #10000 on your list of worries. If that were the case why go to the trouble?

Well another NOTAM issued over Lake Michigan.

Also NORCOM has told a Montana Congressman that they believe there is/was an object over his state and not just a radar anomaly like NORAD said last night.

Well, this is starting to feel like a pre-war scenario.

One thing that does give me pause with all these recent objects is the lack of transparency. With the first one we had videos, pictures, and even videos of it being taken down. With these we're not getting anything and they are being vague and the story changes.

Trudeau: US fighter shot down object over northern Canada

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Saturday that on his order a U.S. fighter jet shot down an “unidentified object” that was flying high over the Yukon, acting a day after the U.S. took similar action over Alaska.

Canadian Air Force must have been on vacation.

Makes you wonder if the thought was to go with a proven concept - F-22 and AIM-9X, or perhaps not all of Canada's CF-18s can carry the AIM-9X. Canada may have decided not to upgrade the CF-18s because they are replacing them with F-35s. The AIM-9X has different fusing and guidance than earlier Sidewinders; could be locking on a balloon is the big factor. Sure would be interesting to know the whole story.

Several countries have "used" nuclear weapons - it's done all the time, but to satisfy you, we are the only ones to detonate one over an enemy. Tokyo fire bombing raids were more extensive, but single bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki forced the Japanese to admit they were out of their depth and capitulate.
