Take a look across campus. Did Todd Raleigh contribute enough to get the upgrades? Pearl put asses in seats, but there would have been upgrades whether he was here or not.

neyland was renovated because, despite our decade of non-dominace, there is still high interest. still 100k or near 100k every game.

weird that a practice facility and arena renovations just so happened to coincide with interest in hoops dramatically increasing.

attendance has no bearing on anything in a non-revenue sport.

Has anyone other than Lowe stated this? While the writing has been on the wall for some time, I would like for more than one source to state this. Sorry, 21 pages of "wall of text" is too much to read through.

Hamilton renovated freaking Tom Black Track. He has renovated every athletic facility on campus. This is the part of his job that he's extremely good at. The basketball facilities would have been upgraded even if Pearl had never set foot in Knoxville. The catalyst for Pratt Pavilion was Hamilton getting hired, not Pearl.

Exactly. Making money / raising money, but to what end? Eventually it's about the athletic program representing the school. That part, he has blown to bits.

major donations from the likes of larry pratt and haslam just happened to be received in april of 2006. nothing to do with pearl, planned all along.

I heard Low on 104.5 the zone tonight in Nashville. His main thrust was all about how Mike Hamilton fired Phil Fulmer in a similar fashion as he is handling this situation. We all know that Low is a Fulmer backer for all of the scoops that Fulmer gave Low. It was pretty pathetic story from Low.

I support Mike Hamilton in his decision. I have been a huge Bruce Pearl fan, but it is time to cut bait. Hammy is protecting the UT brand.

Regardless of what had to happen at the end of the NCAA tournament,Hamilton handled this with the class of Lane Kiffen.If CBP has to be replaced then so be it but for the success we have enjoyed during his tenure he should have at least been able to coach what few games remain before Hamilton made his little interview.I have always tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but at this point it is time to start anew at the University of Tennessee.Mike Hamilton its time for you to go as well....................:finger3:
