Considering that the Pearl bandwaggoners who just started watching basketball five years ago probably only consider about eight coaches to be "big name coaches," then yeah, you're probably right.

im just basing my thoughts on what Hammy has done to this point. Previous actions are the best indicator of future actions and Hammy has yet to deliver

Just for a little clarification, Clay Travis says that Low unequivocally stated on the radio that Pearl was done at the end of the year.

In response, Low just said that Pearl hadn't been fired as of right now. But, it definitely sounded as if he was reporting as fact, not opinion, that Pearl is gone as soon as the season is over.

What happened with Kiffin was 100% completely a shock to all involved, including Lane himself I bet. Nobody anywhere say Pete Carroll jumping to the NFL when he did. We all know why now because of the sanctions and that's the only reason he left. He had declined several offers previously to go to the NFL and by all accounts absolutely loved coaching the Trojans. It was the perfect storm for Lane so he capitalized and took his dream job. I fail to see how that is Hamilton's fault. Please enlighten me.

Exactly. It doesn't and won't take Krzyzewski or Self to replicate or exceed Pearl's accomplishments. Hell, until last year's E8 run, Pearl hadn't done anything that Jerry Green didn't also do.

Yet we were paying Pearl more than Coach K and a bit less than Self. I'm guessing there are a lot of coaches that want that for accomplishing nothing but an Elite 8.
