Cigar /Pipe Smoking thread

In contrast to the misbanded red labels, the La Palina oscuros have been consistently enjoyable. After breakfast, I’m on the screened porch experiencing the thunderstorm. Lightning strikes have been several miles away, so far. Time for a cigar. 👍🏼

I received my order of blondies. Pale Connecticut wrapped cigars for the coming summer temperatures and my increasing post-breakfast smoking pleasure - A. J. Fernandez Connecticut and Oliva Connecticut robustos. This morning, I’m trying the AJF. Unwrapped, the smell of tobacco is marvelously potent. First impressions, it’s creamy, nutty, citrusy, with a hint of cedar. AJF is going to give you a mild to medium smoke with a lot of flavor. Burning perfectly, with a great draw, clouds of smoke, and a firm ash.

It’s such a pleasant afternoon, I took a seat on the porch and lit up an Oliva Connecticut reserva. A two cigar day? I just didn’t want to wait to try one of these 92 rated beauties. First impressions, smooth, nutty, hint of citrus, vanilla, and a spiciness that is… cinnamon. Good draw, clouds of smoke, even burn, firm ash. 👍🏼

Love the New world. Every one I’ve tried has been good.

Anybody recommend a stronger, more robust cigar with a sweet undertone?

Cut the grass, weeded the vegetable garden, planted four tomatoes and a pepper that I rescued from seedling oblivion… Time for a cigar and some Tennessee sipping whiskey. 👍🏼

It rained most of the day here. I worked in the garage; weather was perfect for that. Now it’s game time with a Maker’s and an Olivia V. Go VOLS!
