Citrus Bowl Bound per Brett McMurphy [its official]

Is Tennessee going to offer tickets? I normally get something from them for bowl games but haven't this year.

Go to the Citrus Bowl website. Home | Cheez-It Citrus Bowl

Or Tennessee, Iowa To Square Off In Cheez-It Citrus Bowl On New Year’s Day - University of Tennessee Athletics. For statistically inclined fans, it is worth noting that "Tennessee finished the regular season ranked in the top 25 nationally in eight different team categories: total offense (18th - 453.5), rushing offense (12th - 202.6), rushing defense (22nd - 113.8), net punting (19th - 41.4), punt return average (13th - 14.67), punt return defense (6th - 0.71), total sacks (10th - 36) and total tackles for loss (6th - 93)."

Iowa is a low scoring team. Build an early lead and they are toast.

Iowa best wins: 15-6 at 7-5 Wisc, 22-0, 6-6 Rutgers
Tennessees best wins: 20-13 aTm, 41-20 SCAR and 33-27 @kentucky.

Iowa worst losses: 31-0 at PennSt, 26-0 Mich in Indy
Tennessee worst losses: 38-10 Georgia and 36-7 at Mizzou

Unless we are on the absolute worst end of opt outs, we should spank them pretty good!
Their worst loss was probably the one they suffered at home against Minnesota, who ended the season with a losing record (5-7). Their 10 wins came against teams that finished with a combined record of 55 wins & 65 losses.

That include Michigan? If so that's 23-2 in the total if you include Penn St. Makes them look pretty weak

I've been discussing Iowa football all day with my bros. Didn't see this matchup coming.

The Hawkeyes shut Michigan down last night.

I think the Vols will win, but who knows, if Iowa gets back any of its 4 best players back who were out it could be a contest.

The same inept offense destroyed the Levis-less Wildcunts in the MCB last year.

Can't spell Citrus without U-T. I'm thrilled we are heading back to the Citrus Bowl. It's a step up from the Reliaquest or the Gator Bowl.

Dammit, ya beat me to it.

Hell, you had to give Spurrier props for that shot. Back to back appearances by Fulmer and the Vols in '96 and '97 - beat Eddie George and then Northwestern.

Of course, the next year Florida wound up there and Steve shut up about it.

They sent out an email after the UK game (which was the sixth win) saying the bowl ticket process this season would be different. I'd look for something from the ticket office later today or tomorrow.
