I think the entire Supreme Court should be held to the same standard of conduct as any other federal judge regardless of party.
You say a lot of things that have nothing to do with the topic. You know there was a time when you could have honest political differences with others and they was ok. That is not the case today. Yet democrats still keep winning elections. And absolutely nothing gets accomplished. Harry Reid is the reason judges and now justices are elected by simple majority.

That’s a fair takeaway. Congress needs to pass a law. The problem is the political moment. There’s no way to hold them accountable. Thomas could literally stamp a for sale sign on a specific case and Republicans wouldn’t vote to impeach him. I doubt whether Democrats would for one of theirs at this point, either.Just saw your edit, and that is true, however are you also giving extremely expensive vacations and sweet real estate deals to judges hearing NACDL cases? In crow's case, even if you don't have a specific interest in a particular case, you obviously support that organization's overall agenda and if you're providing an extremely lucrative gift for a judge hearing those cases, it creates an appearance of impropriety and only 9 federal judges don't have a rule against that. I don't think Thomas is the big story here, I think the big story is that the Supreme Court is bound by no ethics code and basically above the law.
I find it odd that Joe Biden is supposed to be the hope for the continuation of the black race when his racist behavior towards a black supreme court justice along with his BFF'ness of a known racist and grand wizard of the KKK Robert Byrd. Rich. Spare me please.
Luther, I agree with this. There were three buckets of votes that mattered:Plus, every vote that wasn't Trump was obviously a "not Trump" vote, at least for most people.
And out of all the "not Trump" options, only one was viable.
For either side, it would come down to whether or not they get to pick the replacement. If Trump were still in the WH, the Pubs might not be against impeaching Thomas and getting a younger conservative on the court. Same logic applies to the Dems with Biden in the WH. But neither side is going to vote to impeach one of theirs if it means someone from the other side is the replacement. No doubts involved, it's partisan logic. That’s a fair takeaway. You are a dem hack who hasn't proved anything other than you want him removed. Lol it's not happening. I wish I was tech savvy enough to post a meme with Justice Thomas wearing his Maga hat making it rain. I really truly don't GAC what judges or elected officials are doing or are given. Honest as I can be. Because it does not affect me in the slightest. If you put your faith any in person they will let you down. I'm really more concerned with important things like does my President have the brain capacity to keep us out of a possible nuclear conflict with Russia than to be bothered by what a supreme court justice does in their spare time. RBG was routinely making the rounds and must likely was being pampered by others. But I really could freaking care less.
I agree but we need to ask that about all of them.
What has he gotten for his money?
There was certainly a fourth bucket....4. Against Biden.Luther, I agree with this. There were three buckets of votes that mattered:
1. For Trump
2. Against Trump
3. For Biden
I believed, and have believed since the election, the smallest bucket by far was #3.
Yes, I just did not think the anti-Biden vote was that big and why I left it out, but agree it was probably the next bucket. Nothing like the anti-Hillary bucket in '16.There was certainly a fourth bucket....4. Against Biden.
There were at least a few million who didn't like Trump at all but voted for him anyway because they couldn't stomach Biden.
Same in 2016. Same with every election. It's just that there has never been a bigger "against bucket" than the ones for Trump in 2016 and especially 2020.
True. I think in 2016, the two anti buckets were almost even. Again, that's why I didn't support Hillary in the primary. I do not understand the rationale of supporting a candidate in the primary who you know is the most hated by the other side. The results are never good.Yes, I just did not think the anti-Biden vote was that big and why I left it out, but agree it was probably the next bucket. Nothing like the anti-Hillary bucket in '16.
