Actually, I believe if you look at the previous classes, UT has not signed 25 in the last four classes, I don't know how many scholarship have been given to walk-ons, but I think the number is in the 30s.

2017 - 27
2018- 20
2019- 23

That leaves 5 more scholarships........so, we can sign 30, but we can't have more than 85 total?

Am I wrong in this assumption?

The short answer ... I believe is yes ...here is why I think that ...
We are dealing with a rolling 3 year period. Taking a large number this year hurts you for the NEXT TWO years.
So, no I do not believe we will take 30.
The max rational number is 28. And even at that it would be jammed full of talent - so that could lead to transfers ...which only affects the 85.
I think the number is more likely 26 or 27 ...there will be decommits.
However, this IS an uninformed opinion because I have NO inside info.
I have braced myself, so fire away. #FoolOn #GoVols

Yes you are. We had 23 signees AND added Velus Jones and Cade Mays. If we don’t add JT Daniels then we’re at 25 for the 20 class. If we do, the number for the 21 class goes down to 24...unless we get the initial counter back from Melvin McBride’s medical retirement.

Thank you, I know #s are a confusing mess, but UT should be fine...........Top 10 if we hold on to everyone + get a few more players.

What about the guy we thought signed but was a walk on until Christmas?

Has to add one most spot imo
