We were already blueshirting just to get that many. Also consider transfers. Iirc we took 3 in 2018 and 2 in 2019. 2 more in 2020.Actually, I believe if you look at the previous classes, UT has not signed 25 in the last four classes, I don't know how many scholarship have been given to walk-ons, but I think the number is in the 30s.
2017 - 27
2018- 20
2019- 23
That leaves 5 more scholarships........so, we can sign 30, but we can't have more than 85 total?
Am I wrong in this assumption?
Go Vols!
I never understood that, but the word at the time from mods was none of those guys (there were 3 of them) would be taking up an annual spot. I think the other 2 were Garland's brother and Montgomery.
Clear as mud. I’d like one name of a football walk on that had to give a scholarship back.I never understood that, but the word at the time from mods was none of those guys (there were 3 of them) would be taking up an annual spot. I think the other 2 were Garland's brother and Montgomery.
That was a real headscratcher and no mods could ever explain that one. The wizard in compliance figured something out.
No I meant how they were put on scholarship that soon and not counted toward the annual numbers. General rule is only after 1 year. No mods could ever explain that one. But not going to question it, if they found that level of a loophole, my god.Clear as mud. I’d like one name of a football walk on that had to give a scholarship back.
Fast tracking PWO’s to scholarships can only be a recruiting advantage. No I meant how they were put on scholarship that soon and not counted toward the annual numbers.
