ok, now you've confused me even more. lol.No not what I am saying. If he doesn’t count it adds one more spot. If he’s counted already a few other walk ons have to count and that isn’t happening imo
If you’re referencing Kenney Solomon, he was a walk on and was awarded a scholarship before Christmas but that came off the 85 not 25...and one of the reasons you’re going to pay $100 of one of my future electric bills. What about the guy we thought signed but was a walk on until Christmas?
Has to add one most spot imo

i don't think the walk ons, true walk ons, count in the IQ numbers, just the 85 man roster. so class size is only dependent on walk ons if it affects the overall roster number to the point where you don't have room there.
if a kid signed and LOI, and walks on, that LOI makes him an iq, if i'm not mistaken, and that he walked on doesn't mean you get that iq spot back. it counts.
so................what were we talking about again?
It’s intentional obtuse Bruin in full effect. He believes that Hubbs told him personally that we award football scholarships for semesters and then yank em back like crazy people. It happened recently in BASKETBALL when Barnes gave a RS junior walk on a scholarship for the remaining semester of school. He’s not expected to come back for a fifth year and it’s immaterial because basketball number are tight. We see these videos of football players and their moms getting scholarships in their 2nd or 3rd year. All the tears and thank you’s and praises of God for reward of all their hard work and now they don’t have the burden of tuition. Never see any of them on Twitter or other social media dog cussing the SOB HC for yanking it back...there’s a reason...can’t walk that back. No examples because there are none. And I’ve asked Hubbs and Bruin both to no avail. Hubbs tbf prolly has no idea what I’m asking because it’s Bruin’s conjuring.ok, now you've confused me even more. lol.

Still on Bruh! And no he’s not...nor is Garland...or the WR...nor the fourth guy. When you’re awarded a scholarship AFTER you walk on? It comes off the 85. Why don’t you know stuff by now?More than him
Going to stay on scholarship for you to get that 100$. Counting to 85 is going to hurt your wallet
But the point is Solomon is counted in the class numbers the same as McBride.
We get both of those back imo
either way, we don't get solomon's iq spot back. he was counted....he counts since he signed.....Seriously that isn’t the subject at all
So just leave that alone
we are discussing the numbers and you are saying McBride May get us a spot back and I am saying Solomon does as well. I think you will agree with that after thinking about it.
the other topic is irrelevant for this topic
the iq's are signees. did they or didn't they sign an NLI? if yes, they count, period. We don’t know he signed. If he signed he didn’t get a scholarship so isn’t the 25 rule just about initial counters anyway ?
Solomon was a walkon who got awarded a scholarship...which comes off the 85. Same as the QB Hill when he gets his. There’s nothing TO GET BACK. McBride’s medical retirement before he participated in football activities may get us his initial counter back. It’s happened at Bama and UGA recently and I remember when Harbaugh slapped a medical retirement on Matt Falcon against his will. These situations have NOTHING to do with each other and it’s your contrarian genes that won’t allow you peace. The $100 will rehabilitation.Seriously that isn’t the subject at all

that's why when a kid signs, and then fails to qualify academically, it's a big deal. you don't get the player cause he can't get it...and you lose that spot int he class.
one of the reasons you see schools maybe slow play a kid with grade concerns.....

honestly, i don't really care at this point. all that matter is, if he did, he's already been counted, and not part of the conversation. if he didn't sign, he's not included in the class iq's, so no IQ spot to begin with, thus no spot to get back.Good point on failed to qualify
but To my point we don’t know if Solomon signed. Since he was a walk on for a semester I’d bet my ass he didn’t sign an NLI
You can sign a letter of intent as a PWO...most do. You’re only allowed 25 initial counters per academic year iirc but that gets skirted by EE’s and is never an issue. Lot of ways to skin a cat.We don’t know he signed. If he signed he didn’t get a scholarship so isn’t the 25 rule just about initial counters anyway ?

No we didn’t. We had 23 scholarships available due to previous blueshirting. Jerrod Means was the 21st to get a scholarship. Solomon signed but as we found out it was as a PWO...otherwise he wouldn’t have needed to be AWARDED A SCHOLARSHIP. PWO’s don’t take up INITIAL COUNTERS. So Means made 21 and we added AUBREY Solomon and Gibbs to complete the 23 that we had available. Perfectly plausible that the original plan was to give Kenney Solomon a full ride from the beginning, but these two became available and the staff was still awaiting Anthony Harris’s academic status...he ended up Juco. You’re a victim of your own fallacy that walk-ons take up initial counters...but they don’t.@butchna I agree with you but when it comes to the math we do here we have been counting Solomon all along as one of the 25 for the 2019 class.
So in that case he wasnt one so we “get that spot back”
the same was we have been counting McBride
It has NO EFFECT. He didn’t take up an initial counter...because he was a WALK ON.We aren’t following each other.
The key is how many ICs were taken in 2019.
if Solomon wasn’t one of them
That helps us this year

It matters to ME (and only me) damn it!honestly, i don't really care at this point. all that matter is, if he did, he's already been counted, and not part of the conversation. if he didn't sign, he's not included in the class iq's, so no IQ spot to begin with, thus no spot to get back.
so either way, it doesn't matter. lol.
