Classless Punk

I remember this EXACT story happening 2 years ago. I mean, to the T. Not sure if it's old, or if someone is just making up that they saw it recently or what. I know that this was posted at least 2 years ago, while Tyler was a Frosh.

FTR, I like Tyler. I think he's been given a really tough job, and had super high expectations, and has met most of those expectations. In reality, he looks like a "choker" because he has to put up 50 a game to win, and when he's driving for his 5th TD of the game, mistakes happen because no one is fooled by what we are going to do.

There's no doubt that he had a bad game against vandy, but the whole damn team was out of it, not just Tyler. They are grown men, and just because 1 guy acts out of it, does NOT give them a reason to act like it as well. We have a team of followers, when we need a team of leaders.

Nobody made anything up. He said he was posting the story (that happened in the past) to illustrate the fact that Bray isn't a classless punk. Clearly you can't read so your opinion doesn't matter.

Just wanted to re-post this story.

I'm honestly embarrassed for some of you Vol fans with the comments you are making towards a kid. Do I agree with some of his on the field antics? Of course not. Does he deserve to be scrutinized? Yes. He's a D1 athlete at The University of Tennessee.

But to call him a "classless punk" and other ridiculous things I've read on here is uncalled for. Some of you have serious issues.

If you would listen to his interview after the Vandy game you would notice he is owning up to his poor play. He didn't hide behind the fact or make excuses.

Tyler Bray post Vandy

"I wasn't playing too good, everyone could see that. I wasn't moving the ball. Wasn't getting anything done."

"No one ever wants to come out of the game."

"I just told the defense the offense needed you tonight."

For what it's worth, I support you Tyler Bray. VFL.

Agree. I am behind Bray and this team 100%. The coaching situation is not their fault

Pics or it didn't happen.

Sorry to be so skeptical but I take this as seriously as the stories of countless coaches playing golf with Hart and meeting with booster at Calhoun's.

I don't believe 99.9999% of whats posted on VN, I concur with your skepticism. Anyone can write a fairy tale and post it on the internet.

We have a lot more classless fans than we have classless football players. At least they can blame some of their problems on their youth. Just when you think you've hit the ignore button to hide the last idiot on here five more jump up to take his place.

The tough guys behind the computer screen that are always there to ridicule Bray are probably the same morons that got there azz handed to them in high school fb practice with not having enough talent to carry a cup of water to Tyler...........

I don't know Bray personally. I want nothing but the best for him regardless of whether he returns or not.

He has simply established a long pattern of choking under pressure. I hope he can resolve it... but it along with Sal's D just got UT its 4 coach in less than 5 years.

I know/knew Heath Shuler personally. Great guy. Grandma was a great, great Christian lady. Some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.

But Heath wasn't making it in the NFL even before his injury. He had physical skills. He isn't a dumb guy. But something just wasn't working. Maybe if he hadn't messed up his foot he could have developed like Kerry Collins.

Bray is fun to watch many times. He may be a great guy. But he's not the guy you want to give the ball to in Athens down by 7 in the 4th qtr... or with Bama, UF, or Vandy bringing blitzes from every angle... or at MSU/USCe with the game on the line... or UNC with a bowl win on the line.

He's had the same number of opportunities to be the difference in a "big win" as Dooley had. Both failed. One has been fired. Maybe Bray can turn the corner... but I fear he won't get there at UT based on the last 3 years.

He said he was reposting it from TOS. He never mentioned it was from the past. 99 percent of the things "reposted" from TOS on here, are, in fact, in the moment, not from 2 years ago. My reading comprehension is fine. It doesn't say anywhere that it's from 2 years ago. If it does, please point me to it. Until then, STFU.

As far as I know, Dooley always conducted himself with class. People (I am pretty sure including you) blamed everything on him. Did/does he deserve better?

You wouldn't be man enough to find out.

I don't really care if I do. And You're right! Kinda hard to find out on another continent! For the record I'm not bashing him. You said people should say it to his face (because you think they should be scared of him). I'm saying he's not scary. Whats the big deal?

Thanks for posting, I love hearing these kind of stories. People seem to forget that Tyler is 21-22 years old. Before you call him a punk, please let's hop back in time and judge your 21-22 year old self. I know I wasn't the picture perfect model of self control. He obviously is a good kid and given the circumstances surrounding this program and his potential I would get pissy on the field too. Imagine if Tyler Bray had gone to Oregon or Oklahoma or Alabama. I feel sorry that he couldn't have been here during "real Tennessee football" and I applaud his efforts (along with the other players) to get us back to that point. Gotta have the coaching though.

Why didn't the kid's dad buy the hat? I'll be damned if I let a stranger buy a hat for my boy when I am standing right there.

(somethin' smells fishy in Fishville.)
