That term is someone who will do or say ANYTHING to make money off of a cause or purpose. He is literally DONATING money and you are making yourself look silly. I think you're confusing me with someone else. Yes, he's donating money and telling everyone he's doing it. Think just a little bit. His announced 6 figure donation will yield 7 figure returns. Yes, it's a grift because he's drawing attention to his donation

Some people can't separate their politics from the rest of their lives. Clay loves Tennessee and has never been afraid to call out the missteps that left us wandering in the desert for 20 years. He's also a fantastic writer.

He’s trying to use his persona to help Tennessee grow dollars to pay players and he’s also both silently for years paid big money and now Publicly offering more to help generate dollars.

Soon, NIL is going to be absolutely, no gray area, half ass guidances to worry about legal to use to get recruits. Like any day now. So now IS the time to join if you’ve been on the fence. Could t come at a better time when we are poised to have our best class yet.

Not a fan of Clay Travis but good on him for doing this I guess as long as he actually follows through and it ends up helping UT. I remember when he was on one of the local Nashville stations back in the day crapping on UT constantly. Clay is about his brand and that's also why he seems to fit right in with the political talk show scene.

You're being 5x the attention whore in this thread than Clay is for using his status to motivate people to help Tennessee...in addition to not understanding the basics of fundraising strategy.

I upped my donations when the NCAA news came out.
