I've been a Braves fan my whole life, going to many games at old Fulton Co. and Turner. It's well documented that attendance at the games, regular season and playoff, is terrible.

Cleveland is still in the top portion of the NBA in attendance this year. The Browns sell out every Sunday. The only time the Indians don't draw is when they suck. The Braves and Hawks can't sell out playoff games.

The Cleveland thing is because they sold season tickets before "The Decision." I would bet a lot of money they will drop next year.

The Braves this past year had good attendance at their playoff games this past year, from what I've been told.

But overall, yes Atlanta sucks as a sports town. After the Braves, the only team they support when they are good is the Falcons, and they still struggle sometimes.

Metopolitan Atlanta has rougnly 5.2 million people. The entire state of Minnesota is just about the same. The fact that the Twins top Atlanta in attendance is just sad.

60% of capacity, is one of the fastest growing areas in the country is laughable, to use your term. Percentage wise, Detroit does better and people are leaving that city in droves.
