If they lose tonight, they should take their rightful place at a lower ranking for the week like everyone else. I know they won't let them drop out, but this is no different than Alabama. Not being persnickety at all so don’t take it that way. But tell me how losing to a 7-4, unranked team doesn’t matter regardless of the SEC champ game. If this is true then conference championship attendees should just rest starters if they are “in” going into the last game, right ?

EDIT: No worries bro. I don't take it as nitpicking or arguing. I think we are all just in shock seeing tonight happen so far! Ole Miss, Bama, A&M, and now Georgia losing* in a 7 day stretch is hilarious!

If Georgia wins the SEC, they are in the playoff as a likely 2 or 3 seed and that means having 3 losses is irrelevant.

If Georgia doesn't win the SEC, they are out of the playoff at 9-4.

So you can see why a loss tonight does not matter to Georgia or the playoff as long as Georgia wins the SEC

Georgia’s ranking wouldn’t matter because they’d be the #2 or #3 seed. I’d expect us to be the #7 or #8 seed, depending on what else happens.

I second it. That was the difference in the Bama/ UGA game. Zebras switched sides at half.
