And before long, the woke mob who runs it all, will have the rules changed for every game of baseball that's played to end in a tie. Therefore, no team member or fans will have their feelings hurt by "losing". All teams will be awarded with participation trophies.

You mean like College Football where average teams are awarded with a Bowl Game so they can feel good about their season?
Yay, we came in 52nd place!

No it isn't. It's idiotic.

But the good thing is that it is one step closer to erasing any thought of American Indians. Pretty soon they will be scrubbed from any visibility or recognition.
Ive heard that even their tax free casinos are doing poor since the COVID lockdowns -- wouldnt bother me to see them go bankrupt

I don't know how a lot of them ever made any money. Have you ever travelled out west? You could drive for 50 miles from anything and then there would be a casino pop up out of nowhere and generally there might be 3 or 4 cars in the parking lot.

Those 3 or 4 cars were only there for the buffet being served.

I’ve been out of the loop, was Guardians like the final 3 choices that had fan input or did this just get announced out of the blue.

I don’t have much input if the name is good or not, definitely has potential.
But visually it was clever how they copied the look by rhyming the new name.

I am sure the fine people of India are happy that crummy baseball team stopped using their name.

People in them are like zombies. It's usually literally the only "game" in the town/county/100 miles. They are nice inside, but it's usually just slot machines and people just feed tokens in all day.

What's ironic is usually the tribe bans their members from playing there. Just because they dont want them addicted like the rest of the town folk.

My post was complete sarcasm. I don't think the average 'Indian' gave a flying **** about the team name. Any casino going broke makes me laugh.

If rhyming with Indians was a factor why not Ruffians?

Remember when the Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens? I am deeply offended by both the "Browns" name and the "Ravens" names which are deeply threatening to the POC.

If they were going to do this, it would've made sense to go back to calling themselves The Cleveland Spiders, which is what the baseball team in Cleveland was called before they were the Indians. I guess they didn't want to offend people with arachnophobia. Jesus, this generation!
